Supported Applications
The Omega NWHA Series Clean Water Circulation Heaters feature an oval flange design intended for low-cost booster water heating in remote applications. These units are specified for use with clean water media.
Operating Conditions & Performance
NWHA circulation heaters operate within a 3 to 5 kW power range and support single-phase electrical supply at 120, 240, or 480V. The series utilizes two copper sheath elements with a diameter of 0.475" and a loading density of 50 W/In². Construction is rated for 150 Lb service pressure.
Temperature control is managed via a side-mounted AR thermostat adjustable from 60 to 250°F. The unit body consists of a 2" galvanized carbon steel pipe, with wetted materials comprising Galvanized ASTM A53B carbon steel pipe and Galvanized ASTM A516 Grade 70 carbon steel plate.
Configuration Options
The series is configurable across power ratings, voltage inputs, and terminal enclosure types. Key selection parameters include:
- kW Ratings: Available in 3 kW (Code 003P), 4 kW (Code 004P), or 5 kW (Code 005P).
- Voltage & Phase: Configurable for 120, 240, or 480V Single-Phase operation.
- Housing Dimensions: Overall dimensions vary by power rating; the 3 kW model measures approximately 23⅝" (Dimension A) x 15" (Dimension B), while 4 and 5 kW models measure approximately 31⅛" (Dimension A) x 23" (Dimension B).
- Process Connections: Equipped with a 3/4" Pipe Inlet and 3/4" Pipe Outlet.
- Electrical Interface: Features convenient field wiring terminals for installation. A general-purpose terminal enclosure is available (Code E1).
The model number format follows the structure: NWHA - [Number of Elements] - [kW Code] - [Terminal Enclosure Code], with voltage indicated as a suffix in ordering examples.
Key Product Differences
Variants within the NWHA series differ primarily by power output and electrical supply requirements. The 3 kW configuration (Model code ending in 003P) is physically smaller than the 4 kW (004P) and 5 kW (005P) configurations, which share identical dimensions but differ in wattage. All variants maintain a two-element design with copper sheaths and galvanized carbon steel construction.
