Supported Applications
The OM-EL-USB-1-PRO-A is a high-temperature, extended-range USB data logger housed in a rugged 316 stainless steel case that resists corrosion, impact and water ingress to NEMA 4X (IP67). It measures and stores up to 32,510 temperature readings over a -40 to 125°C (-40 to 257°F) range, making it suitable for demanding thermal monitoring where standard loggers would fall short.
Its wide range and sealed stainless housing suit applications such as sterilisation and pasteurisation processes, industrial ovens and heat-treatment lines, cold storage and freezer monitoring, and outdoor or wash-down environments. Because a single battery charge supports logging for up to 3 years, the unit is also appropriate for long, unattended deployments.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The logger operates across its full measurement span of -40 to 125°C (-40 to 257°F) and is protected to a NEMA 4X (IP67) enclosure rating. The 316 SS case provides corrosion, impact and water resistance, and the unit is CE marked and manufactured under ISO 9001 and ISO 9002 certified quality systems.

Power is supplied by a ¾ AA 3.6V lithium battery. Battery life is 1 yr minimum at -20°C with a 10 sec logging interval, 2 yrs typical at 80°C with a 10 sec logging interval, and up to 3 yrs maximum. Set-up and data download are handled over the USB interface.
Configuration Options
The series centres on a single logger, the OM-EL-USB-1-PRO-A, whose defining capability is its extended -40 to 125°C (-40 to 257°F) range combined with a fully sealed 316 SS case rated to NEMA 4X (IP67). This lets it record accurately in hot, wet or corrosive conditions that would exceed the envelope of a plastic-bodied logger.
Configuration and data retrieval are performed through the Windows software over the USB interface, and the replaceable ¾ AA 3.6V lithium battery supports very long logging campaigns. The matching replacement cell is the OM-EL-USB-1-PRO-BATT.

Excellent!
I bought a couple of these to monitor and log temperatures used for cleaning cheese shredder cleaning. They turned out to be useful in many other projects; such as, cheese ageing at different temperatures, a hydraulic cooling retrofit, and the design of a wash down system.

Works perfect. Does EXACTLY what I wanted it to do
I needed a thermometer recorder for my recently completed solar powered lumber dry kiln. This tool allows me to record up to 32,000+ readings before I reset or sooner if I so desire. My max temp of 165 degrees F is well within its operating range. So far after running 2 loads through my kiln is has done everything perfectly. The optional reads on my computer of the downloaded data give me all of the information that I need to make better choices about time in kiln for different wood species and much other data useful for my operation. The only drawback I experienced was it was not originally compatible with my new Windows 10 program. I am sure that is fixable through the company. I had another computer handy and it works perfectly. One of the best business purchases I've made concerning this whole process

Perfect Performance
I bought this data logger, have used others in the past. The ease of use, data generated, and easy use, make this a wonderfully perfect tool to validate our process and HACCP/PCFHF programs.
I have used other data loggers in the past and there is no comparison to the performance of the Omega OM-EL-USB-1-PRO-A.
I highly recommend it. It is also easy to clean and sanitize if direct food contact is necessary.

Great tool to have
We bought this not too sure about the quality and if it would work for what we needed it for. So far very happy with it and its a great tool to have. It took a little bit to get it figured out on the computer, but overall no bad.

Can this product be introduced to a vacuum environment? Perhaps down below 100 mtorr?
Hello this unit is not recommended for vaccuum as it will out gas and damage the unit.
