Supported Applications

The Omega EK Series consists of NEMA 4X (IP65) polycarbonate enclosures designed to house and protect standard IEC components. These units are intended for DIN rail mount circuit breakers, timers, switches, meters, and other control devices.

Key functional features include:

• A shrouded cut-out that exposes mounted components for easy adjustment while isolating wiring to increase safety.
• Transparent hinged doors with push release latches providing quick access and visibility of internal components.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The EK Series enclosures are constructed from polycarbonate and carry CE, UL, and RoHS approvals. They meet the NEMA 4X (IP65) enclosure rating for environmental protection.

Performance limits include:

• Ambient operating temperature: -40 to 120°C (-40 to 248°F).

The series includes integral polyurethane seals and is available with a tinted transparent hinged door option.

Configuration Options

The series supports five distinct model sizes, each defined by the number of circuit breaker poles they accommodate and their physical dimensions. All models come complete with a 35 x 7.5 mm DIN rail and label included.

Configuration options include:

• Housing material: Polycarbonate.
• Door style: Transparent hinged door (tinted option available).
• Latching mechanism: Push release latches.
• Mounting: 35 mm DIN Rail and Label Included; Direct Mount capability noted in options list.

Key Product Differences

Variants within the EK Series differ primarily by capacity (number of circuit breaker poles) and overall dimensions:

• EK002: Fits 2 to 3* circuit breaker poles. (*Can fit 3-pole with breakouts removed).
• EK004: Fits 4 circuit breaker poles.
• EK008: Fits 8 circuit breaker poles.
• EK012: Fits 12 circuit breaker poles.
• EK024:** Fits 24 circuit breaker poles. (**2-door model like 2-stacked EK012).
