Supported Applications
The Omega LC305/LCM305 Series consists of heavy-duty miniature compression load cells with a 51 mm (2") diameter and low profile. These units are designed for test benches, prototype structures, and industrial weighing applications.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The series covers measurement ranges from 0-25 lb to 0-20,000 lb (Standard) and 0-100 N to 50,000 N (Metric). Key performance specifications include an accuracy of ±0.25% for interchangeability, hysteresis of ±0.1% FSO, and repeatability of ±0.05% FSO. The output signal is rated at 2 mV/V (±0.25%).
Operating ambient temperature ranges from -46 to 107°C (-50 to 225°F). Electrical specifications require an excitation voltage of 10 Vdc with a maximum of 15 Vdc. Input resistance is 360 Ω minimum, and output resistance is 350 Ω ±10 Ω.
Configuration Options
The series offers two primary connection styles: cable style (LC305/LCM305) and connector style (LC315/LCM315). The housing material is stainless steel with an IP65 enclosure rating.
- Dimensions: 51 mm (2") diameter, 25.4 mm (1.00") height, and a spherical radius of 10.9 mm (0.43"). Mounting features include 8 equally spaced holes with a mounting hole diameter of 42.8 mm (1.687").
- Electrical Connection: Standard models include a 3 m (10') 4-conductor, color-coded, shielded PVC cable. Connector style models utilize a twist-lock connector.
- Certifications & Calibration: Models feature NIST Standard certification and RoHS compliance. All units come complete with 5-point NIST-traceable calibration and 59 kΩ shunt data.
Key Product Differences
The series is divided into standard (LC305/LC315) and metric (LCM305/LCM315) model families, distinguished by capacity units. Standard models range from 25 lb to 20,000 lb; the LC305-20K model requires a 4-digit meter. Metric models range from 100 N to 50,000 N.
Within each family, variants are available in cable style or connector style (twist-lock). Connector-style units require the PT06F10-6S mating connector (sold separately) or a CA-4PC24-2-015 cable assembly with twist-lock connector. Compatible meters include DPIS, DP41-S, and DP25B-S for standard models; iSeries, DP41-S, and DP25B-S are compatible with metric models.
