Supported Applications

The Dwyer Series DL7 is a battery-powered differential pressure data logger that also measures and records temperature. It is a self-powered, two-channel unit with an on-board thermistor for ambient temperature, and it operates independently of an external power supply. Recorded data is later analyzed with Trendreader software on an IBM PC or 100% compatible computer.

The pressure sensor is compatible with non-corrosive gases and air and is not to be used for liquid pressure measurement. Pressure connections should be made separately from the module and logger. The DL200 Windows software (sold separately) is used to program the logger and upload data.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The DL7 is a two-channel logger (internal thermistor plus a differential pressure sensor). Pressure range is model-specific and is listed under Configuration Options; performance common to the series is:

Accuracy: ±0.05" w.c. (up to 2" range) ±0.1 (5" and 10" range); thermal accuracy ±0.5% FS.
Resolution: ±0.01 in w.c.; 12 bits (1 in 4096).
Nonlinearity: ±0.05% FS (BFSL); hysteresis and repeatability ±0.05% FS; drift ±0.5% FS/yr.
Internal thermistor range: -40 to 158°F (-40 to 70°C); compensated temperature range 32 to 158°F (0 to 70°C).

Memory holds 21,500 readings, and the sampling rate is selectable from 0.04 s to 8 hrs (continuous sampling is not available from 40 ms to 8 s). Clock accuracy is ±2 s/day plus one sampling interval, and internal thermistor resolution is 0.7°F (0.4°C). The unit withstands 4X rated pressure, connects through two 1/8" ID permanent protective tubing ports, and operates at 0 to 95% RH, non-condensing. Power is a factory-replaceable 3.6 V LT5134 lithium metal battery, the housing is polyphenylene ether and polystyrene (PPE & PS), and the logger weighs 4 oz (110 g). It is CE marked.

Configuration Options

All five models share the same electronics, memory, resolution, temperature channel, and construction; they differ only in differential pressure range:
