The new OMEGA HGST low noise connectors are designed to provide easy connection of ground wires to OMEGA probes and extension wires. The drain wire of a 20 AWG twisted shield cable or the shield of the overbraided wire is crimped and held in place by the HGST’s internal hardware. The HGST has excellent thermal and electrical characteristics to assure high accuracy. Each connector includes an HCP-L and HCP-HGST write-on window. Ground straps may be ordered separately to provide additional mechanical rigidity and strengthen the mechanical bond between the connectors. Ground straps also maintain the electrical contact through the connector, protecting against electrical noise errors. Male connectors have a solid pin construction for extra durability.
