Supported Applications

The Omega UJP Series consists of Universal Jack Panel Assemblies designed to accept both standard and miniature thermocouple connectors. These fully assembled panels feature snap-in, color-coded jacks with numbered circuits for easy identification and installation in rectangular cutouts. The patented design accommodates every standard and miniature connector regardless of size.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The UJP Series is constructed from 2.3 mm (0.09") aluminum panels machined with a brushed finish and clear anodizing for durability and corrosion resistance. The jacks are molded from high-impact plastic rated for a maximum service temperature of 205°C (400°F). Panels mount in rectangular cutouts, providing a rugged interface for thermocouple connections.

Configuration Options

The series offers configurable layouts based on the number of rows and circuits per row. Standard off-the-shelf panels are available with 1 to 4 rows and varying circuit counts (e.g., 6, 12, or 18 circuits per row). Custom manufacturing is available for non-standard panels upon request.

Key configuration options include:

  • Circuit Layouts: Configurable by number of rows and circuits per row (e.g., UJP-1-6, UJP-2-12).
  • Calibration Types: Specify calibration as J, K, T, E, R, S, N, or U. Blank panels are also available.
  • Dust Protection: Dust Caps (SPJ-CAP-12/package of 12) are offered to protect unused jacks.
  • Customization: Custom manufacturing is available for non-standard dimensions, quantities, row counts, and jack calibrations. Consult Sales Department for information on custom color-coded anodized panels.

Key Product Differences

The UJP Series model numbering follows the format UJP-<Rows>-<Circuits Per Row>-<Calibration>. For example, Model No. UJP-1-6-K denotes a single-row color-coded jack panel with Type K connectors. Panels are assembled at no extra cost and include numbered circuits for identification.

Variations in the series primarily distinguish between:

  • Row Count: 1, 2, 3, or 4 rows (e.g., UJP-1-x vs. UJP-4-x).
  • Circuit Density: Varying numbers of circuits per row to match panel length requirements.
  • Connector Calibration: Specific thermocouple types (J, K, T, E, R/S, N, U) or blank configurations without pre-installed jacks.
