Supported Applications
The OM-CP-TEMP1000IS-A2 is an Intrinsically Safe temperature data logger designed for hazardous locations. Its 316 stainless steel enclosure and intrinsically safe certification for Class 1 Division 1 Group ABCD, Class 1 Division 2 Group ABCD and Temperature Class T4A make it suited to hostile and potentially explosive environments.

Operating Conditions & Performance
Temperature is measured by a Resistance Temperature Detector (RTD) over a range of -40 °C to +80 °C (-40 °F to +176 °F), with a temperature resolution of 0.01 °C (0.018 °F) and a calibrated accuracy of ±0.5 °C (0 °C to ±50 °C), ±0.9 °F (32 °F to 122 °F).
The logger holds 65,536 Readings and records at a reading rate of 1 reading every second up to 1 reading every 24 hours, and may be used with a PC to monitor and record data in real time. It is powered by a Tadiran TL-2150 3.6V lithium battery, included and user replaceable in a non-hazardous location, with a battery life of 2 years typical at 15 minute reading rate. Data is date and time stamped in °C, °F, K, °R, and time accuracy is 10 seconds / month across 0 °C to 50 °C.
The enclosure is 316 Stainless Steel/Radel and is not rated for submersion; do not submerge this product to retain the IS rating. The operating environment is -40 °C to +80 °C (-40 °F to +176 °F), 0 %RH to 100 %RH (case properly sealed). Approvals include CE, FM Class 3600, Rev. Jan 2018, FM Class 3610, Rev. Jan 2018, CAN/CSA-C22.2 No. 60079-0:15 and CAN/CSA-C22.2 No. 60079-11:14.
Configuration Options
The OM-CP-TEMP1000IS-A2 is offered with a choice of probe length, which changes the overall dimensions and weight while keeping the same RTD sensing and intrinsically safe rating:
- 1 inch probe: 2.66 in x 0.97 in dia. (67.6 mm x 24.6 mm dia.), 2.1 oz (60 g).
- 2 inch probe: 3.94 in x 0.97 in dia. (100.1 mm x 24.6 mm dia.), 2.4 oz (68 g).
- 5.25 inch probe: 7.19 in x 0.97 in dia. (182.6 mm x 24.6 mm dia.), 2.7 oz (76 g).
- 7 inch probe: 8.94 in x 0.97 in dia. (227.1 mm x 24.6 mm dia.), 2.8 oz (78 g).
Across all probe lengths the logger offers software programmable immediate start or delay start, up to 24 months in advance, digital calibration through software, and Sterilization Units and Pasteurization Units lethality equations within the software. Data retrieval uses the OM-CP-IFC400 docking station or the OM-CP-IFC406 6 Port, Multiplexer docking station, and the OM-CP-BAT113 is the replacement 3.6 V lithium battery.
