Supported Applications
The Omega PX835 Series consists of explosion-proof and flame-proof pressure transmitters designed for hazardous industrial locations. Documented applications include oil field equipment, upstream oil and gas production, natural gas compression and transfer control, alternative energy projects, and fuel cell manufacturing.
These intrinsically safe units are suitable for a broad spectrum of sensing requirements, including vacuum, compound, and gage pressure ranges.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The PX835 Series operates within an ambient temperature range of -20 to 85°C (-4 to 185°F) and a process temperature range of -40 to 125°C (-40 to 257°F). Storage temperatures are rated from -40 to 125°C (-40 to 257°F), with humidity tolerance up to 95% RH, non-condensing.
Performance specifications include an accuracy of ±0.5% True Pressure (TP) or ±0.40% Full Scale (BFSL). The response time is 2 ms. Mechanical robustness includes a shock rating of 100 g peak at 11 ms and vibration resistance defined as Sweep: 50 to 2000 Hz, 5 g peak; Random: 10 g RMS, 20 to 2000 Hz.
Pressure ranges span from vacuum/compound configurations (e.g., Vac to 100 psi / -1 to +7 bar) up to high-pressure gage applications of 0 to 10,000 psi (0 to 690 bar). Overpressure ratings are specified as 2 x FS min for ranges from 0/Vac to 300 psi and 1.5 x FS for ranges from 500 to 10,000 psi.
Configuration Options
The series features an all-welded stainless steel case (housing material: 304 SS) with wetted materials consisting of a 316SS diaphragm and pressure port. The standard process connection is a ¼ NPT male fitting, while electrical termination utilizes a ½ NPT male conduit fitting.
Output Signals & Power
- 4 to 20 mA output (2-wire): Requires power supply of 12 V min / 36 V max. For Intrinsically Safe installations, the maximum supply voltage is limited to 30Vdc.
- 1-5Vdc output (3-wire voltage output): Requires power supply of 10V min / 30V max.
Hazardous Area Certifications
- Explosion Proof – cULus: Class I, Div. 1 & 2, Groups A, B, C and D; Class II, Div. 1 & 2, Groups E, F and G.
- Flame Proof – ATEX (Specify PX835): II 2 GD, Ex d IIC T4, Ex nC IIC T4.
- Intrinsically Safe (applies to 4-20mA) FM: Class I, Div. 1; Class I, Div. 2, non-incendive.
Options & Accessories
- Oxygen cleaning: Available by adding suffix “-X6B” to the model number for additional cost.
- Electrical termination options: Includes 4-pin Bendix style shell size 8 (options B4, H1, L1, P2), pigtail conduit ½ NPT male (C1, P7), flying leads conduit ½ NPT male (C2, C3, C4), and shielded cable.
Key Product Differences
The PX835 Series is configured by pressure range. Model numbers follow the format PX835-GI, where the numeric portion indicates the specific gage or compound range (e.g., PX835-030GI for 0 to 30 psi). The series supports vacuum and compound ranges such as Vac to 15, Vac to 30, up to Vac to 100. Gage pressure variants cover discrete steps from 0 to 5 psi through 0 to 10,000 psi.
Physical dimensions are consistent across the series with a typical overall length of 4.78″ (121 mm) and body diameter of 1.06″ (27 mm). The hex size for all pressure fittings is common at 1.06″ (27).

Do these have span and zero pods that can be adjusted?
Thanks for the inquiry
These do not have any type of adjustments we do carry other but they wouldn't have the certifications that these have.
