Supported Applications
The Omega THS Series Integral Cable Sanitary Probes are thermistor sensors designed for use in sanitary Clean-In-Place (CIP) systems. These heavy-duty probes feature a stepped design with a ¾" diameter stem that reduces to a ¼" diameter at the tip, providing additional strength and fast response times suitable for process monitoring.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The series operates within a temperature range of -80 to 150°C (-112 to 302°F). Accuracy is specified as ±0.2°C between 0 and 70°C for the standard 10,000 Ω element configuration. The sensors are 2-wire devices with no polarity associated; they require an excitation current of no more than 12 microamps to prevent self-heating errors.
Wetted surfaces consist of 316L Stainless Steel (SS) with a surface finish of 32 μin or better. The probes utilize thermistor elements that provide non-linear resistance temperature output, offering higher resolution compared to RTD sensors while requiring lower operating currents.
Configuration Options
The THS-H-CB series is configurable across sensor codes, probe lengths, and cable options. Standard features include a 1½" 16 AMP Tri-Grip™ fitting (Tri-Clamp® Compatible) for connection to similar flanges using commercially available gaskets and clamps.

- 2K: 2,252 Ω @ 25°C (Element Series 44004)
- 3K: 3,000 Ω @ 25°C (Element Series 44005)
- 5K: 5,000 Ω @ 25°C (Element Series 44007)
- 10K: 10,000 Ω @ 25°C (Element Series 44006) — Standard for listed variants
- 30K: 30,000 Ω @ 25°C (Element Series 44008)
Mechanical Configurations

- Probe Lengths (Insertion): Available in standard lengths from 3 to 6 inches. Custom lengths longer than 6" are available as options.
- Cable Lengths: Standard is 120 inches; custom cable lengths up to and beyond this value are configurable by modifying the model number suffix.

- Customization: Changing the sensor code (e.g., from '10K' to '5K') adjusts the resistance element. Modifying the numeric suffix for probe or cable length allows for non-standard dimensions, typically at an additional cost.
