The series carries FM Intrinsically Safe approval for Class I, II, III, Division 1 Gr A, B, C, D, E, F, G, and Class I, Zone 0 Aex ia IIC (US) / Ex ia IIC (Canada). An FM Non-Incendive rating covers Class I Division 2 Groups A, B, C, D (US and Canada) for conduit electrical connections only. Every unit ships with a NIST Traceable Calibration Certificate.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The PX509-IS operates across an ambient temperature of -40 to 75°C. Accuracy is specified at ±0.08% BSL maximum for the combined effect of linearity, hysteresis and repeatability, with long term (1-year) stability of ±0.1% full scale typical and a response time of <1 msec.

Measurement ranges span 10 inH2O to 3500 psi across gage, sealed gage, absolute, compound gage, vacuum and barometric configurations. Units are rated for 1 million pressure cycles typical, and containment reaches up to 11,000 psi on the highest ranges. Standard process connections are ¼-18 NPT male and G1/4B male.
Configuration Options
Models in the series differ primarily by electrical termination and environmental sealing, letting you match the sensor to the wiring method and installation constraints of the application. All terminations are rated IP65.
- PX509 uses cable with flying leads, 2 m (6').
- PX509C adds a ½ NPT conduit connector but has no trim pots and is not demountable.
- PX509CP provides a ½ NPT conduit connector with side accessible trim pots.
- PX509CW and PX509CWP are submersible versions with a ½ NPT conduit connector and a 3 m (10') cable.
- PX519, PX529, PX539, PX549 and PX559 replace the cable with mini-DIN, twist-lock 6 pin, DIN, glass-to-metal sealed solder pins, and M12 connectors respectively.
Metric-calibrated versions are offered under the PXM5 designation for applications specified in bar and mbar. Models with the ½ NPT conduit fitting (PX509C) do not have a demountable termination, and trim pots are an extra cost option.

Rec'd correct parts later than expected
Parts were received as ordered after a delay. Placed order on 3/31 with a quoted three week delivery. On 5/3 was told it was delayed and shipping on 5/25. Checked on 5/25 and was told estimated ship date was 6/20 but then received shipping confirmation later that day.
