Supported Applications
The Omega PX2760 Series consists of high accuracy barometric pressure transducers designed for measuring absolute pressure in dry or non-condensing gases compatible with stainless steel, alumina ceramics, gold, and elastomers (silicone). These units utilize a capacitive sensor processed through a custom ASIC to provide long-term reliability. The amplified output signal is engineered for compatibility with most process controllers and computer interface equipment.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The PX2760 series operates within an ambient temperature range of -20 to 80°C (-4 to 176°F), with a compensated temperature range of 0 to 55°C (32 to 131°F). Storage is supported from -55 to 120°C (-67 to 248°F) according to the data sheet, or -65 to 250°F (-55 to 120°C) per the manual. Performance specifications include an accuracy of ±0.25% span RSS at constant temperature (includes linearity, repeatability and hysteresis), with a resolution described as infinite, limited only by noise level (0.005% FS). Long-term stability is rated at ±0.25% FS over 6 months @ 70°F.
Thermal effects are specified as ±0.01%/°F span for both zero and span. The response time is <10 ms to reach 90%. Mechanical robustness includes a shock rating of 50 g operating, ½ sine 10 ms, and vibration resistance of 2 g from 5 to 500 Hz.
Measurement Ranges
The series is available in the following absolute pressure ranges:
- 600 to 1100 mbar (450 to 825 mmHg)
- 800 to 1100 mbar (600 to 825 mmHg)
- 0 to 20 psia (0 to 1034 mmHg)
Maximum pressure ratings are 20 psia for the 600-1100 mbar and 800-1100 mbar ranges, and 30 psia for the 0-20 psia range.
Configuration Options
The PX2760 series features a standard electrical connection via a 0.6 m (2') multiconductor cable with color-coded leads: Red (Positive Excitation), Green (Positive Output), White (Negative Output), Black (Negative Excitation), and Shield (Case). The output signal is 0.1 to 5.1 Vdc, 3-wire, requiring an excitation voltage of 12 Vdc (9 to 14.5 Vdc max) with power consumption <0.2 W and output impedance <5 Ω.
Process connection options include a ¼" tube fitting or a 1/8" O.D. plastic push on tube fitting depending on the specific configuration referenced in documentation. Wetted materials consist of stainless steel, alumina ceramics (or alumina), gold, and elastomers (silicone).
Ordering Models
The series supports three primary model configurations:
- PX2760-600A5V: 600 to 1100 mbar absolute range.
- PX2760-800A5V: 800 to 1100 mbar absolute range.
- PX2760-20A5V: 0 to 20 psia absolute range.
These models are noted as compatible with DP41-E, DP25B-E, and DP-3002E meters. The unit carries CE approval and includes a 1 YEAR WARRANTY.
Key Product Differences
The primary variation within the PX2760 series is defined by the absolute pressure measurement range selected at order time (mbar or psia). All variants share the same capacitive sensor technology, custom ASIC signal processing, and 3-wire voltage output architecture. Dimensional data indicates a unit height of 22 mm (0.87 in) and length of 53 mm (2.08 in), with an overall diameter of 57 mm (2.250 in). Mounting is facilitated by holes spaced at 29 mm (1.125 in) and 30 mm (1.170 in) using a #11 Drill (0.191) ±0.010.
Users must ensure the circuit is not mis-wired, as reversed excitation may cause permanent damage. The transducer should not be used in ambient conditions corrosive to stainless steel or PVC jacketed cable, submerged in liquids, subjected to spray, or exposed to vibration environments beyond rated limits.

Is there an option to have it with digital screen to read out the readings?
We offer digital displays sold separately that will both power this sensor and display pressure in whatever units of measure you require. A moderately priced display would be our DP8PT. You can locate specifications for this display on our website.
