Supported Applications

The Omega LCCE Series consists of Low Range S-Beam Load Cells designed for force measurement applications requiring high overload protection. These sensors are engineered to measure load (force) with a capacity range from 25 to 750 lb (11 to 340 kg). The series features mechanical overload protection rated at 500% and includes rugged stainless steel construction suitable for demanding environments.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The LCCE Series operates within an ambient temperature range of -18 to 65°C (0 to 150°F) with an IP67 enclosure rating. Electrical performance is defined by a nominal load resistance of 350 Ω and an output signal of 3 mV/V ± 0.25% full scale, powered by an excitation voltage of 10 Vdc (maximum 15V). Accuracy specifications include linearity of ± 0.03% full scale, hysteresis of ± 0.05% full scale, and repeatability of ± 0.01% full scale.

Each unit is supplied with a 6 m (20') 4-conductor 24 AWG jacketed cable for electrical connection. The series supports 5-point NIST traceable calibration and offers 0.25% interchangeability.

Variation by Capacity

Physical dimensions vary according to the selected capacity range:

  • 25 lb (11 kg) through 200 lb (91 kg): Overall height H1 is 64 mm (2.5 in), width W is 48 mm (1.9 in), and threads are ¼-28 UNF-2B.
  • 250 lb (113 kg) through 750 lb (340 kg): Overall height H1 increases to 76 mm (3.0 in). The 250 lb model uses ⅜-24 UNF-2B threads, while the 500 and 750 lb models use ½-20 UNF-2B threads.

Deflection values range from 0.15 to 0.28 mm (0.006 to 0.011 in) depending on the specific capacity model, and unit weight ranges from 0.18 kg (0.4 lb) for lower capacities up to 0.41 kg (0.9 lb) for the 750 lb range.

Configuration Options

The LCCE Series is available in eight distinct capacity variants, identified by model numbers following the pattern LCCE-, such as LCCE-25 or LCCE-750. The sensor element material is 17-4 PH SS with an aluminum side cover.

The series supports integration with specific accessories and compatible meters:

  • Compatible Meters: DP41-S, DP25B-S, DPI8-S
  • Load Button Models: LBC-014 (for 25–200 lb), LBC-038 (for 250 lb), and LBC-012 (for 500–750 lb)
  • Rod End Models: REC-014M, REC-038M, and REC-012M

Each unit comes complete with a calibration certificate and shunt data.

Lower capacity models (25 to 200 lb) share identical overall height H1 of 64 mm (2.5 in), while higher capacity models (250 to 750 lb) utilize a taller profile with an H1 dimension of 76 mm (3.0 in). Thread specifications change at the 250 lb threshold, shifting from ¼-28 UNF-2B for smaller capacities to larger thread sizes for higher loads.
