Supported Applications
The Omega HTRG Series consists of silicone rubber insulated high temperature heater hook-up wires designed for use as exposed leads in appliances and lighting fixtures. Documented applications include range top burners, back panels, steam irons, toasters, broiler ovens, gas dryers, kilns, and recessed lighting fixtures.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The HTRG-1CU series is rated for operation up to 200°C (392°F). The wire construction features a tinned copper conductor with silicone rubber insulation covered by a treated glass overbraid. All variants in the series are UL and CSA Certified.
Configuration Options
The HTRG-1CU series is available across multiple gage sizes, colors, and spool lengths to accommodate specific installation requirements.
- Gages: 18 AWG, 16 AWG, 14 AWG, 12 AWG, and 10 AWG.
- Jacket Colors: Standard colors are White (SW) or Black (SBK). Other colors are available upon request by contacting Sales.
- Spool Lengths:** Specify length in feet: 25ft (7.6m), 50ft (15.2m), 100ft (30.4m), 250ft (76.2m), 500ft (152m), or 1000ft (304m).
- Conductor Types: Standard conductors are Nickel Plated Copper for AWG 22-20 and Tinned Copper for AWG 18-8.
Nominal outer diameters range from 3.2 mm (0.13 inch) for the 18 gage wire to 5.6 mm (0.22 inch) for the 10 gage wire, with corresponding weights listed per spool length.
Key Product Differences
Variants within the HTRG-1CU series are distinguished by conductor size and jacket color. The model number format follows HTRG-1CU-<GAGE>-<COLOR>, where gage is represented numerically (e.g., 618 for 18 AWG, 610 for 10 AWG) and color by suffix (SW for White, SBK for Black). The series supports a voltage rating of 600 Volts across all listed gages.
