Operating Conditions & Performance
The HGM68 operates within an ambient and process temperature range of 14°F to 131°F (-10°C to 55°C). The instrument measures moisture content from 0 to 20% with a resolution of 0.1%. Accuracy is specified as ±3% for moisture content and ±0.8°F (±0.4°C) for temperature. Repeatability is listed at 0.1, and the response time is approximately 30s.
Configuration Options
The series features a strong, lightweight, high-impact ABS-plastic housing designed to fit comfortably in either hand. It includes a digital display providing exact readings without requiring an operator or extra display unit. The device performs self-calibration upon power-on, indicated by two beeps.

Key Product Differences
The HGM68 model is configured with a probe featuring needles for insertion into the material. The instrument includes a MATERIAL SELECTION switch to select between foodstuff or feedstuff types prior to measurement. Users are advised that moisture content readings may change if the needles remain in the grain for an extended period of time.

Doesn't work
The meter reads 20% moisture even if the soil is completely dry. The equipment is unusable!!

How much grain is needed to take an accurate test? Will a small pail full work or do you need a bin full or can you just probe a bit in the combine hopper?
Thank you for your inquiry. The probe will as long as the needles are fully submerged in the grain.

would it work for bread crumb to test moisture?
Thank you for your question. Unfortunately, this meter is not going to work with bread crumbs. The material substance and density is too different from raw grain. Please contact our Tech Support if we can be of any further assistance.
