Operating Conditions & Performance

The HGM68 operates within an ambient and process temperature range of 14°F to 131°F (-10°C to 55°C). The instrument measures moisture content from 0 to 20% with a resolution of 0.1%. Accuracy is specified as ±3% for moisture content and ±0.8°F (±0.4°C) for temperature. Repeatability is listed at 0.1, and the response time is approximately 30s.

Configuration Options

The series features a strong, lightweight, high-impact ABS-plastic housing designed to fit comfortably in either hand. It includes a digital display providing exact readings without requiring an operator or extra display unit. The device performs self-calibration upon power-on, indicated by two beeps.

Key Product Differences

The HGM68 model is configured with a probe featuring needles for insertion into the material. How much grain is needed to take an accurate test? Will a small pail full work or do you need a bin full or can you just probe a bit in the combine hopper?

would it work for bread crumb to test moisture?

Thank you for your question. Unfortunately, this meter is not going to work with bread crumbs. The material substance and density is too different from raw grain. Please contact our Tech Support if we can be of any further assistance.
