Supported Applications
The Series FPCA Flow Power Control Accessories provide mounting kits, power converters, and dual power supplies designed for compatible Dwyer flow meters. These accessories simplify installation by offering meter-to-wall and wall-to-meter mounting options while resolving power input requirements.
- Mounting Kits: The WMK (Wall to Meter Mounting Kit) allows the mounting of a Series BAT, RTI, or PWD flow computer analog transmitter or pulse divider on a Series PDWS flow sensor. The MMK (Meter to Wall Mounting Kit) converts meter-mounted electronic modules into wall-mount configurations for use with Series EFS2, IEFS, PDWS, IPFS, TBS, and FLMG.
- Power Conversion: Model PWC1 is used with Series PDW, EFS2, or IEFS to convert 115 VAC to 24 VDC. Model PWC2 serves as a dual power supply for Series EFS2, IEFS, PDWS, IPFS, and TBS, converting 115 VAC to 12/24 VDC.
- Signal Isolation: The PWC2 eliminates the risk of potential ground loop interference when used with a magmeter and 4-20 mA transmitter by providing isolated dual outputs for Series BAT and RTI modules.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The series supports distinct operating temperature ranges depending on the component type. Mounting kits (WMK/MMK) operate within -22 to 148°F (-30 to 65°C). Power supplies and converters (PWC1/PWC2) are rated for an ambient range of 32 to 140°F (0 to 60°C).
Power supply performance specifications include:
- PWC1 Output: 24 VDC @ 500 mA. This unit is unregulated and may vary up to 32 Vdc; it should be used only in applications where voltages up to approximately 32 Vdc are tolerated.
- PWC2 Outputs: Dual regulated outputs of 12 VDC +/- 1% @ 350 mA and 24 VDC +/- 4% @ 100 mA. The PWC2 input power is internally switchable between 115 Vac/230 Vac.
- PWC1 Input Power: 120 Vac, 60 Hz, 19 W.
Safety and environmental ratings include UL and C-UL (Canada) listing for the PWC1. The PWC2 features a NEMA 4X enclosure rating constructed from rugged molded ABS plastic.
Configuration Options
The Series FPCA encompasses four primary models with specific configuration options:
- WMK (Wall to Meter Mounting Kit): Designed for mounting analog transmitters or pulse dividers on PDWS sensors. Features a rugged, fusion-coated cast aluminum enclosure.
- MMK (Meter to Wall Mounting Kit): A back half with feet that converts meter-mounted modules into wall mounts. Constructed from die-cast powder-coated aluminum; weighs 1.75 lb (794 g).
- PWC1 (Power Converter, Plug-in): Single outlet power supply providing unregulated 24 VDC output. Dimensions are 3-15/64" H x 2-13/64" W x 1-15/16" D (82.04 mm x 55.88 mm x 49.02 mm). Uses screw terminals for 22-18 AWG wire.
- PWC2 (Dual Power Supply, Plug-in): Wall or panel mount unit providing regulated dual outputs. Dimensions are 4-15/16" H x 4-15/16" W x 2-59/64" D (125.22 mm x 125.23 mm x 74.17 mm). Uses terminal blocks for 22-12 AWG wire.
