Supported Applications

The Dwyer Series TST Digital Temperature Switch is designed for heating and cooling applications. Documented use cases include refrigeration, holding ovens, boilers, and brewing systems.

Operating Conditions & Performance

This series accepts PTC (1000 Ω @ 25°C) or NTC (10 KΩ @ 25°C) thermistor inputs. Measurement ranges are defined by sensor type: PTC covers -58 to 302°F (-50 to 150°C), while NTC covers -58 to 230°F (-50 to 110°C). The unit provides an accuracy of ±1% FS with a resolution of 0.1°. It features On/Off control type and includes nonvolatile memory backup.

Operating ambient temperature is specified as 32 to 131°F (0 to 55°C), with storage temperatures ranging from -4 to 176°F (-20 to 80°C). The front panel carries an IP65 rating. Power consumption varies by supply: 4 VA @ 115/230 VAC and 1.5 VA @ 12/24 VAC/VDC.

Configuration Options

The Series TST is available in four models corresponding to specific power requirements:

• TST-011: 115 VAC
• TST-021: 230 VAC
• TST-031: 12 VAC/VDC
• TST-041: 24 VAC/VDC

Each unit features an SPDT relay output rated at 16 A @ 240 VAC resistive, with a horsepower rating of 1 HP (10 FLA, 60 LRA). The display is a 3-digit readout including a plus sign. Programming is accessible via front capacitive touch buttons or the TS2-K programming key.

Configurable parameters include set point, hysteresis, cycle time, and ambient probe adjustment. Standard features encompass temperature alarms with an internal buzzer for high/low conditions or probe/memory errors, along with password-protected parameter settings. The series supports Series TS-Probes as accessories.

Key Product Differences

Variants differ primarily by supply voltage and physical weight. Models TST-011 (115 VAC) and TST-021 (230 VAC) weigh 7.2 oz (204 g). Models TST-031 (12 VAC/VDC) and TST-041 (24 VAC/VDC) weigh 4.8 oz (136 g). All models share identical dimensions of 3.110 in [79.0] x 2.440 in [62.0] x 1.440 in [36.5], with a front panel cutout requirement of 2-51/64" x 1-9/64" [71 x 29 mm]. Agency approvals include CE and cURus.
