Supported Applications

The Omega PX276 series consists of rugged duct pressure transmitters that integrate a static pressure probe with the transmitter in a single unit. Designed for measuring low-pressure differentials, these devices are specified for use with clean, dry air or any inert gas.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The PX276 series provides an accuracy of ±1.0% FS with a compensated temperature range of 25°F to 150°F (-4°C to 65°C). The operating temperature range extends from -18 to 80°C (0 to 175°F), and the units are rated for environments up to 90% relative humidity, non-condensing. Each transmitter is protected against short circuits and reverse polarity.

Configuration Options

The series offers two primary model configurations, PX276-05GI and PX276-15GI, each providing three field-selectable pressure ranges via internal switches. The units feature a 4 to 20 mA (2-wire) output signal compatible with specific Omega meters including the DP24-E, DP25B-E, and DP41-E.

Selectable Ranges

• PX276-05GI: 0 to 5.0 inH₂O (default), 0 to 2.5 inH₂O, or 0 to 1.25 inH₂O
• PX276-15GI: 0 to 15.0 inH₂O (default), 0 to 7.5 inH₂O, or 0 to 3.75 inH₂O

Construction & Connections

• Housing material: Enamel-coated, 18 GA steel enclosure with a baked-on enamel finish (PMS2GR88B)
• Probe sheath: 6061T aluminum
• Electrical connection: Unpluggable screw terminal block accepting wire sizes up to 12 Ga max.

Power & Output Options

The transmitters operate on a supply voltage of 12–40 VDC. While the primary output is 4–20 mA, documentation indicates availability for 0–5 VDC and 0–10 VDC outputs depending on configuration.

Key Product Differences

The PX276 series is distinguished by its integrated probe design and selectable range capability within a single enclosure. The two available variants differ only in their maximum pressure span: the -05GI model covers ranges up to 5.0 inH₂O, while the -15GI model supports spans up to 15.0 inH₂O. Both models include NIST-traceable calibration and a one-year warranty.
