The Series TE Duct and Immersion Building Automation Temperature Sensors are designed to monitor air or water temperature throughout a building management system or an air handler unit. The series supports duct mount configurations for airflow monitoring as well as immersion probe applications.

Operating Conditions & Performance

Sensors operate within a temperature range of -40 to 302°F (-40 to 150°C). Accuracy specifications vary by sensor type: the thermistor temperature sensor provides ±0.22°C @ 25°C (±0.4°F @ 77°F), while the RTD temperature sensor meets DIN class A standards at ±0.15°C @ 0°C (±0.28°F @ 32°F). The housing material for applicable models is UL 94 V-0 polycarbonate plastic, and specific configurations carry a NEMA 4X (IP66) rating.

  • Probe Diameter: 1/4" for DFN/DFG configurations; 1/4" double encapsulated
  • Terminations: Includes 4" leads with spade connectors, 4" leads, or an 8' plenum rated cable option (with or without spade connectors)
  • Fittings: None (probe only), 1/2" NPT compression fitting, or 1/4" NPT compression fitting
  • Housing Features: Includes a terminal connector to eliminate the need for wire nuts and multiple conduit knockouts. Duct models feature external tab housing options.

Variants within the Series TE are distinguished by their mounting environment (duct versus immersion) and enclosure protection level. The model number guide follows the format: TE - [Mounting Configuration] - [Sensor Type] - [Probe Length] - [Probe Diameter] - [Termination] - [Fittings]. For example, TE-DFN-A0448-00 represents a duct mount probe only with a 10k Ω type III thermistor. The NEMA 4X (IP66) enclosure rating is specific to the DFW and IBW configurations; other housing styles do not carry this rating in the provided documentation.
