Supported Applications
The Dwyer Series SG3 consists of 1.5" (40 mm) stainless steel industrial pressure gages designed for measuring compatible gases and liquids in harsh environments. These mechanical instruments feature a dual scale display showing psi and bar (x100 kPa). The series is engineered with corrosion-resistant materials to suit applications requiring chemical compatibility, including corrosive ambient conditions.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The Series SG3 delivers ±2.5% full-scale accuracy across a measurement envelope ranging from 30" Hg vacuum to 300 psi positive pressure. Specific available ranges include 30" Hg to 0, and 0 to 30, 60, 100, 160, 200, or 300 psi. The gages operate within an ambient temperature limit of -4 to 140°F (-20 to 60°C). Pressure limits are defined as the full-scale (FS) range for each model.
Configuration Options
The series offers configurable mounting and material options tailored to specific installation needs. Key capabilities include:
- Housing & Wetted Materials: 304 SS housing with a polycarbonate lens; wetted parts consist of a 316 L SS tube and 316 SS connector.
- Process Connections: 1/8" male NPT available in bottom or back mounting configurations. Model numbers ending in "21N" indicate a bottom connection, while changing the suffix to "41N" specifies a back connection.
- Scales & Display: Dual psi and bar (x100 kPa) scales on the dial face.
- Dimensions: 1.5" (40 mm) diameter with an overall height of 1-27/32 [47.00] for both bottom and back connections.
Optional accessories include the A-445B U-bracket mounting kit for 1.5" gages and a NIST traceable calibration certificate (order code NISTCAL-PG1).

The Series SG3 is distinguished from the similar Series SG1 by its wetted material composition; while both series share the same 304 SS housing, ±2.5% FS accuracy, and dual-scale display, the SG3 utilizes a 316 L SS tube and 316 SS connector for enhanced chemical compatibility compared to the brass connector and bronze tube found in Series SG1 models.
