Supported Applications

The Series SGO Dual Scale Gages are 4" stainless steel Schaeffer gages designed for pressure measurement in applications requiring excellent chemical compatibility. The series is engineered with a PTFE-coated diaphragm and wetted parts suitable for compatible gases and liquids.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The Series SGO delivers ±1.6% full-scale accuracy across ranges from 30" Hg-0 (-100-0 kPa) to 0-200 psi (0–1400 kPa). Units operate within an ambient temperature range of -13 to 149°F (-25 to 65°C) and a process temperature limit of 248°F (120°C). The pressure rating is specified at 130% full-scale. Each gage features dual English/metric scales on the dial face.

Configuration Options

The series supports multiple measurement ranges and includes a micrometer-adjustable pointer for field re-zeroing. Key configuration details include:

• Housing & Wetted Materials: 304 SS housing with a glass lens; wetted materials consist of a 316L SS chamber and PTFE protected steel diaphragm.
• Process Connection: 1/2" male NPT.
• Enclosure Rating: NEMA 3 (IP54).
• Dimensions & Weight: Overall size is 4" (100 mm); weight is approximately 3.0 lb to 3.1 lb (1.34 kg to 1.4 kg) depending on the specific model documentation.

An optional NIST traceable calibration certificate is available using order code NISTCAL-PG1 for pressure gages over 1% accuracy.

Key Product Differences

The Series SGO distinguishes itself from the related Series SGP by its wetted material configuration. While both series share a 304 SS housing, dual scales, and ±1.6% FS accuracy, the Series SGO utilizes a PTFE diaphragm for enhanced chemical compatibility, whereas the Series SGP employs a 316 SS diaphragm.
