Supported Applications
The Omega DP7800 Series consists of dual input digital voltmeters designed for process measurement and control applications. These panel-mounted instruments feature a five-digit, seven-segment LED display with programmable ranges to monitor DC voltage and current signals.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The DP7800 Series operates within an ambient temperature range of -20°C to +60°C. Storage is supported from -25°C to +85°C, with a relative humidity rating of 0% to 90%, Non-condensing. The instrument performs analog-to-digital conversions at a rate of 3 Conversions/Second using a 16 Bit Sigma Delta technique.
Accuracy is specified as ± .01% of reading ± 1 count of LSD. Measurement ranges are programmable via solderless jumpers on the rear of the unit, covering:
- 0 to ±200mV
- ±2V
- ±20V
- ±200V
- 4-20mA
When option 20 is selected, ranges include 0-5V, 1-5V, or 4-20mA. The display span is programmable from ± 1000 to ± 30,000 counts with a digital zero (tare) capability of 50% of span.
Configuration Options
The series supports various power supply configurations and optional interfaces. Standard AC power requirements are 105VAC to 132VAC @ 50mA (47Hz to 500Hz) or 198VAC to 264VAC @ 25mA (47Hz to 500Hz). Additional power options include +5VDC, 9-18VDC, 18-36VDC, and 230VAC; 50Hz - 400Hz.
Optional analog outputs track the input signal:
- Voltage: 0-10V with 2.5mV resolution (maximum drive capability ±2mA)
- Current: 4-20mA output, maximum load 600Ω
The series includes two form “A” relay limit outputs rated .25A at 28V. Serial communication is available via ASCII RS-232 or RS485 compatible interfaces with programmable baud rates of 9600, 4800, 2400, 1200, 600, 150, & 75. Electrical connections utilize fifteen quick disconnect terminals.
Physical dimensions include a panel cutout of 3.58" x 1.77" and an instrument face of 3.80" x 1.97", corresponding to Case size 'D'. The unit weighs 1 pound. A Sunlight Readable Red LED display is available as an option.
