Supported Applications

The Dwyer Series DM-2000 Differential Pressure Transmitter senses the pressure of air and non-combustible, compatible gases. The unit sends a standard 4-20 mA output signal for integration into control systems.

The housing is specifically designed to mount in the same diameter cutout as a standard Magnehelic® differential gage, facilitating replacement or upgrade scenarios where panel space is constrained.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The Series DM-2000 operates within an ambient temperature range of 20 to 120°F (-6.67 to 48.9°C). The pressure limit for the series is rated at 10 psig (0.69 bar).

Accuracy specifications vary by model: standard models offer ±1% FS, while the ±30 Pa model provides ±4% FS accuracy at 70°F. Long-term stability is specified as ±1% FS/yr.

The thermal effect on performance is documented as ±0.055% FS/°F (0.099% FS/°C) for standard models, and ±0.13% FS/°F (.234% FS/°C) for the ±30 Pa model.

Configuration Options

The series supports a wide range of factory-calibrated measurement ranges to address specific differential pressure needs:

• Inches water column: 0 to 0.1 in w.c., 0 to 0.25 in w.c., 0 to 0.5 in w.c., 0 to 1 in w.c., 0 to 2 in w.c., 0 to 3 in w.c., and 0 to 5 in w.c.
• Span ranges: 0.25 to 0.25 in w.c., 0.5 to 0.5 in w.c., and 0.05 to 0.20 in w.c.
• Pascal range: ±30 Pa

Electrical configuration requires a power supply of 10-35 VDC (2-wire) with a maximum loop resistance of DC: 0 to 1250 Ω. Current consumption is specified at DC: 38 mA maximum.

Housing and Connections

The transmitter features a glass filled plastic molded housing with pressure connections inherent to the design, utilizing 1/8" I.D. tubing for process connection. Electrical access is provided via a screw-type terminal block. The unit must be mounted in a vertical orientation.

Options and Accessories

The series offers several configurable options:

• LCD: Optional 3.5 digit LCD display (0.7" height) showing process and engineering units; allows field selection of 4 to 6 engineering units depending on range via a single push button.
• AT: Aluminum tag
• FC: Factory calibration certificate
• NIST: NIST traceable calibration certificate

Additional accessories include surface mounting brackets (A-299), flat flush mounting brackets (A-300), static pressure tips with flanges, instrument enclosures in ABS or 304 SS brushed finish, and a power supply converting 100-240 VAC/VDC to 24 VDC.
