Supported Applications

The Omega DRF-LC Series consists of DIN rail mount signal conditioners designed to convert load cell input signals into standard process outputs. These isolated converters accept millivolt inputs from load cells and provide current or voltage signals for transmission to data acquisition systems, controllers, or recorders.

  • Load Cell Input Signal Conditioning

Operating Conditions & Performance

The DRF-LC series provides galvanic isolation between input, output, and power supply circuits with an isolation voltage of 3.500 Veff (Input to Output) and Power to Input/Output ratings dependent on the power model. The units feature a response time of up to 70 ms for process inputs.

  • Accuracy: <0.2% or <0.3% depending on model
  • Operating Temperature: 0 to 60°C (32 to 140°F)
  • Storage Temperature: -20 to 70°C (-4 to 158°F)
  • Humidity: 0 to 95% RH, non-condensing
  • Enclosure Rating: IP-30

Configuration Options

The series supports configurable input ranges and output types tailored for specific load cell applications. The modules are compatible with standard 35 mm DIN rails and feature plug-in screw terminal connectors.

Input Ranges (mV)

  • 0 to 10 mV
  • 0 to 20 mV
  • 0 to 30 mV

Output Signals

  • Voltage: 4-20 mA, 0-20 mA (Current); 0-10 Vdc, 0-5 Vdc, 1-5 Vdc (Voltage)
  • Note: Specific variants listed support 0 to 10 Vdc output.

Power Supply Options

  • 24 VDC ±10%
  • 115 Vac ±10% 50/60 Hz
  • 230 Vac ±10% 50/60 Hz

Mechanical Dimensions

  • DC Powered Models: 110 H x 22.5 W x 93 mm D (4.3 x 0.9 x 3.7")
  • AC Powered Models: 110 H x 37 W x 93 mm D (4.3 x 1.46 x 3.7")

Key Product Differences

The DRF-LC series is distinguished by its specific input range codes and power supply configurations within the broader DRF family of signal conditioners.

  • Housing Width: DC powered models have a width of 22.5 mm (0.9"); AC powered models are wider at 37 mm (1.46") to accommodate internal power components.
  • Isolation Ratings: Power-to-Output isolation is rated at 3.500 Veff for AC-powered models and 1K Veff for DC-powered models, while Input-to-Output remains constant at 3.500 Veff across the series.
