Supported Applications
The Omega DRST-AC series comprises universal AC/DC transmitters designed for DIN rail mounting in industrial and factory automation applications. These devices provide signal conditioning for hazardous electric voltages, converting high-voltage inputs into standardized process signals.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The transmitter is engineered to operate within an ambient temperature range of -20°C to +60°C with a maximum relative humidity of 95% RH (non-condensing). The unit features double insulation and carries UL Listed and CE Mark approvals. It must be installed in environments meeting pollution degree 2 or better.
Input capabilities cover hazardous electric voltages ranging from 75 to 1500 VDC and 50 to 1000 VAC, with specific measurement ranges including 0-1000 VAC, 0-1000 VDC, or a universal 0-1000 VAC/VDC configuration. The device requires a power supply of 24 VDC (±10%). For current outputs, the minimum load resistance is specified as 500 Ω for 4-20 mA output.

- VAC/VDC: Universal AC/DC Voltage Input
- Output Signals:
- 4-20 mA Output (code: 4-20mA)
- 0-20 mA Output (code: 0-20mA)
- 0-10 V Output (code: 0-10V)
- 0-5 V Output (code: 0-5V)
- Power Supply:
- 24 VDC Power Supply (code: 24VDC)
- Options and Accessories:
- DRSL-DISPLAY: Detachable display for local monitoring and programming.
- CM: Remote Operator Interface (ROI) providing Modbus/RTU and Wi-Fi connectivity.
Key Product Differences
Variation within the series is defined by the selected input type, output signal range, power supply configuration, and optional interfaces. The device contains no DIP-switches or jumpers; configuration relies on the detachable DRSL-DISPLAY for local monitoring and programming.
Important operational constraints include a maximum hazardous fuse size of 10 A. Users must not open the front plate to avoid damaging the connector for the DRSL-DISPLAY, and repair or replacement of circuit breakers is restricted to Omega A/S only.
