Supported Applications

The Omega CX5300 Series consists of DIN Style Connectors designed as protective electrical enclosures for transducers. These connectors are primarily used on pressure transducers and solenoid valves where service access and rapid installation are necessary.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The series is manufactured according to DIN 43650/ISO 4400 standards. The connectors feature a strain-relief gland or conduit-fitting design intended for electrical connections in industrial environments.

Configuration Options

The CX5300 Series offers four distinct configurations based on connector type and cable entry method:

• CX5300: DIN 43650 A connector with 4 contacts (one is a GND) on 18 mm spacing, equipped with a PG9 gland.
• CX5301: DIN 43650 A connector with 4 contacts (one is a GND) on 18 mm spacing, equipped with a ½" conduit fitting.
• CX5302: Micro mini DIN connector with 4 contacts on 9.4 mm spacing, equipped with a PG7 gland.
• CX5303: Micro mini DIN connector with 4 contacts on 9.4 mm spacing, equipped with a ½" conduit fitting.

Physical dimensions vary by model to accommodate the specific connection and entry requirements:

• CX5300 & CX5301 (DIN 43650 A): Overall size is 40 mm (1.57 in) x 26.5 mm (1.04 in) x 18 mm (0.75 in).
• CX5302 & CX5303 (Micro mini DIN): Overall size is either 35 mm (1.38 in) x 15.5 mm (0.61 in) x 15.5 mm (0.61 in) for the PG7 gland version or 49.3 mm (1.94 in) x 15.5 mm (0.61 in) x 15.5 mm (0.61 in) for the conduit fitting version.

Key Product Differences

The primary distinction within the series is the electrical interface and cable entry style:

• DIN 43650 A Interface (CX5300, CX5301): Features a larger contact spacing of 18 mm with four contacts including ground.
• Micro mini DIN Interface (CX5302, CX5303): Features a compact contact spacing of 9.4 mm with four contacts.
• Cable Entry: Models are available with either metric PG glands (PG7 or PG9) or imperial conduit fittings (½" NPTF).
