Supported Applications

The Dwyer Series TSCC Digital Dispensing Temperature Control is designed to monitor and control product temperature and dispensing rate in the production of melted cheese, chili, or other heated food products. The controller utilizes a selectable PTC or NTC thermistor input to manage process conditions while driving relay outputs for heating elements and dispensing mechanisms.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The Series TSCC operates within an ambient temperature range of 32 to 158°F (0 to 70°C) with a storage temperature capability from -4 to 176°F (-20 to 80°C). Measurement ranges depend on the selected sensor type: PTC thermistors support -58 to 302°F (-50 to 150°C), while NTC thermistors cover -58 to 230°F (-50 to 110°C). The controller provides an accuracy of ±1% FS with a resolution of 1°. It features a front panel rating of IP64 and includes nonvolatile memory backup. Power consumption is specified at 4 VA.

Configuration Options

The series offers configurable power supply voltages and display units across its model lineup, including TSCC-010, TSCC-011, TSCC-020, and TSCC-021. Key capabilities include:

  • Power Supply Options: 115 VAC ±10% or 230 VAC ±10%, depending on the model.
  • Sensor Inputs: Compatible with one PTC thermistor (1000Ω @ 25°C) or one NTC thermistor (10K Ω @ 25°C).
  • Relay Outputs: One SPDT relay rated at 16 A @ 240 VAC resistive and 5 A inductive for temperature control; two SPST relays rated at 5 A @ 240 VAC resistive each, used to control dispensing rates.
  • User Interface: Three-digit red LED display with face-mounted buttons for programming parameters such as set points (SP), differential/hysteresis (r0), and relay timing (t1, t2).
  • Configuration & Security: Parameters can be copied between devices using the TS2-K configuration key. A password code provides security protection.

The unit includes a TS-6 temperature probe. The overall dimensions are 2-21/32 in [67.39] x 1-11/32 in [34.04] x 1-7/64 in [28.19], with a weight of 8.8 oz (250 g). Installation requires a panel cutout of approximately 2.80 x 1.14 in (71 X 29 mm), and the unit must be mounted away from vibration, impacts, water, and corrosive gases.

Key Product Differences

Variants within the Series TSCC differ primarily by power supply voltage and display temperature units. Models ending in '0' (e.g., TSCC-010) are configured for 115 VAC or 230 VAC with Fahrenheit (°F) displays, while models ending in '1' (e.g., TSCC-011) utilize the same voltage options but display Celsius (°C). The series supports both PTC and NTC sensor types via parameter selection rather than distinct hardware variants.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Digital Temperature Switch Received in a timely fashion and in excellent condition. Installed in a temperature well to monitor my boiler system and it worked as it should controlling my monitoring lights with the switch inputs.
