Supported Applications
The Dwyer Series 616D is a differential pressure transmitter designed to sense the pressure of air and non-combustible, compatible gases. The unit converts this measurement into standard electrical signals for integration with control systems or monitoring equipment.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The series operates within an ambient temperature range of 14 to 185°F (-10 to 85°C). Accuracy is specified as ±0.25% FS @ 77°F (25°C), with a thermal effect of ±0.02% FS/°F (±0.036% FS/°C) and stability rated at ±1% FS/yr.
Measurement ranges available in the series include:
- 0 to 6 in w.c.
- 0 to 10 in w.c.
- 0 to 20 in w.c.
- 0 to 40 in w.c.
- 0 to 100 in w.c.
- 0 to 200 in w.c.
- 0 to 10 psid
Maximum pressure limits vary by model range, as detailed in the specification chart. For example, models covering ranges up to 40 in w.c. list a maximum pressure of 20 psig, while the 0 to 10 psid model lists a maximum of 45 psig.
Configuration Options
The Series 616D is configured for mounting on a 35 mm DIN rail. The enclosure dimensions are 2-3/8 [60.33] width, 2-57/64 [73.42] height, and 1-1/2 [38.10] depth.
Output signals include:
- 4 to 20 mA (2-wire)
- 0 to 10 VDC (3-wire)
Power supply requirements depend on the output configuration: 10 to 35 VDC for 2-wire current loops; 17 to 36 VDC or isolated 21.6 to 33 VAC for 3-wire voltage outputs.
The process connection is a 1/8" female NPT port. The unit includes two barbed fittings compatible with 1/8" (3.12 mm) and 3/16" (4.77 mm) I.D. rubber or vinyl tubing. Electrical connections are made via a screw-type terminal block.
Wetted materials should be confirmed by consulting the factory. The unit carries CE approval.
Key Product Differences
The series is offered in specific model numbers corresponding to fixed measurement ranges, such as 616D-2 through 616D-8 for standard differential pressure spans. Optional calibration services are available via option codes: COC (Certificate of calibration), FC (Factory calibration), and NIST (NIST traceable calibration certificate).
Zero and span adjustments are provided via push buttons, intended for checking calibration rather than re-ranging to significantly different spans. The unit is not field serviceable.
