Supported Applications
The IP411 and IP413 Series are electropneumatic converters that translate an analog electrical signal into a proportional, linear pneumatic output. Using a silicon pressure sensor and an electro-pneumatic converter, they maintain the set pressure without constant air consumption, which eliminates hose chatter and air leaks common to bleed-type designs.
The converters accept clean dry air or any inert gas and are intended for control applications requiring accurate current- or voltage-to-pressure conversion. They must not be used on oxygen service, in explosive or hazardous environments, or with flammable or combustible material, and a sourcing controller is required.
Operating Conditions & Performance
Input options are 4 to 20 mA, 0 to 5 V and 0 to 10 V, converted to a pneumatic output of either 3 to 15 psig or 0 to 20 psig. Accuracy is 1% FS, with a zero adjustment of ±50% and a span adjustment of ±25%.
The unit is powered from 18 to 28 Vdc or Vac, drawing 150 mA/3 VA, and operates from 0 to 70°C over the same compensated temperature range. Maximum supply pressure is 40 psig, and minimum supply pressure is 0.1 psig above the maximum control pressure. Thermal effects are ±0.025% FS/°F on zero and ±0.01% FS/°F on span. The process connection is a hose barb that fits 4.76 mm (3/16") ID tubing, wired through screw terminals. Construction is an aluminum manifold with a 16-gage steel case, and the unit weighs 350 g (12 oz).
Configuration Options
The family splits into the IP411 and IP413 series, differentiated further by output-range suffix. The -X15 suffix designates a 3 to 15 psig output, while the -020 suffix designates a 0 to 20 psig output; the IP413-X15, for example, provides a 3 to 15 psig output with manual override.
All variants share the same input signals, 1% FS accuracy, aluminum manifold/steel-case construction and the compact envelope of 83 mm (3.25 in) wide, 84 mm (3.30 in) high and 70 mm (2.75 in) deep.
