Supported Applications

The Dwyer Series MSV Compact Two-Way Ball Valves provide directional control of fluid in instrumentation and process systems. Designed for gases and liquids compatible with the specified wetted materials, these valves feature a straight-through flow path intended to minimize pressure drop.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The series operates within a process temperature range of -40 to 350°F (-40 to 176°C) and supports a pressure rating of 1500 psig (103 bar). The micro-finished ball and PTFE seats are engineered for quality sealing, while the blow-out proof ball and stem design provides durability in over-pressure events.

Configuration Options

The Series MSV offers configurable body materials, connection types, port sizes, and orifice dimensions to match specific system requirements. The following options are available across the series:

• Body Materials: Brass or 316 Stainless Steel.
• Connection Types: Fractional Tube Fitting or Female NPT.
• Inlet/Outlet Sizes: Available in 1/8", 1/4", 3/8", 1/2", and 3/4" configurations depending on the model.
• Orifice Dimensions (mm): Options include 0.093 (2.36), 0.125 (3.18), 0.187 (4.75), 0.250 (6.35), and 0.437 (11.10).
• Wetted Materials:
• Body, connector: 316 SS or brass
• Stem, ball: 316 SS
• Ball seats: PTFE
• Stem o-ring, connector o-ring, back-up rings: Fluoroelastomer

Key Product Differences

The series distinguishes models by body material and connection type within the model number structure. Brass bodies are designated with a "B" prefix (e.g., MSV-BD110, MSV-BF450), while 316 Stainless Steel bodies use an "S" prefix (e.g., MSV-SD220, MSV-SF120). Connection types differentiate between fractional tube fittings and Female NPT threads. Specific orifice sizes vary by inlet/outlet dimension; for example, the 1/4" Fractional Tube Fitting models offer both 0.125 (3.18) mm and 0.187 (4.75) mm orifices.
