Supported Applications

The Omega STC-100 series is a combination surface thermocouple and connector designed for low-temperature intermittent use with handheld meters. The integral sensor provides direct measurement of surface temperature, while the miniature male (SMP) connector plugs directly into compatible handheld thermometers.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The STC-100 series supports a measurement range from -200°C to 218°C (-328°F to 425°F), with a maximum temperature usage of 218°C (425°F). Measurement accuracy is specified as ±1°C (±1.8°F). The sensor features a response time of 250 msec.

A safety warning notes that proper hand and arm protection should always be used while operating this product above 66°C (150°F).

Configuration Options

The series is available in Type K or Type E thermocouple configurations. The connector body is constructed from anodized aluminum, and the sensor head utilizes PTFE wetted materials.

The STC-100 features a removable and replaceable sensor element. Overall dimensions are 64 mm L x 25.4 mm D (2.5" x 1"). The product is made in USA and carries patent pending status.

Compatible Accessories

The series supports use with the following handheld thermometers:

  • HH26K: Economical Type K thermometer, 1° resolution
  • HH66R: Dual input thermocouple thermometer with RS232, 0.1° resolution
  • HH-21A: Digital thermometer, J/K/T switchable
  • HH22A: J, K, T thermocouple thermometer with dual input, 0.1° resolution

Ordering Configuration

To order the STC-100 series, specify the model number using the format STC-100-(*)-SMP-M, where "K" is inserted for Type K calibration and "E" is inserted for Type E calibration.

Key Product Differences

The primary variation within the STC-100 series is the thermocouple type. The STC-100-K-SMP-M model provides a Type K sensor, while the STC-100-E-SMP-M model provides a Type E sensor. Both variants share identical physical dimensions, connector types (miniature male SMP), and material construction.
