Supported Applications
The Model CLS1 Capacitance Level Switch provides reliable point level measurement of solids, liquids, and slurries in metallic or non-metallic tanks and vessels. The unit detects the presence or absence of material by sensing a change in capacitance when material contacts the probe.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The series operates within an ambient temperature range of -40 to 185°F (-40 to 85°C) and supports process temperatures from -40 to 240°F (-40 to 116°C). The electronics provide highly sensitive measurement detection requiring less than a 1 picofarad shift from ambient. A fail-safe relay output is selectable for high or low level indication, with an adjustable time delay ranging from 1 to 30 seconds.
Configuration Options
The Model CLS1 features a PVC enclosure rated NEMA 4X (IP66), described as dust tight and water resistant. Wetted materials consist of CPVC, compatible with solids, liquids, or slurries. The unit mounts vertically or horizontally via a 1" male NPS process connection.
