The Omega TJ36-ACL series comprises Autoclave Rugged Thermocouple Transition Joint Probes designed for temperature measurement in demanding environments. These probes are explicitly documented for use in steam washdown applications, the food industry (including frozen food), and industrial settings involving soft materials such as rubber. The rugged construction supports general heavy-duty use where resistance to harsh cleaning cycles is required.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The TJ36-ACL series meets or exceeds Special Limit of Error (SLE) and EN 60584-2: Tolerance Class 1 accuracy standards. Measurement ranges vary by thermocouple type, extending from sub-zero to 425°C (800°F) for Type E and sub-zero to 480°C (900°F) for Type K. The series supports Types J, K, T, and E calibrations.

Physical dimensions specific to the Autoclave Probe configuration include a diameter of 1.6 mm (0.063") and an insertion length of 100 mm (4"). The overall cable assembly measures 1 m (3'). Wetted materials consist of 304 Stainless Steel or Inconel 600, depending on the selected sheath option.

Configuration Options

The series offers configurable options across sensor calibration, grounding configuration, and lead wire insulation. Available variants include grounded and ungrounded junctions for Types J, K, T, and E thermocouples. The probes feature PFA insulated wires with miniature connectors.
