Analog Current/Voltage Rescaling Signal Splitter
- Splits one analog signal into two outputs: The ACI ARM2 accepts a single voltage or current input and provides two matching DC current sourcing outputs that track together.
- Ideal for signal loop monitoring: Use it when one sensor or controller signal needs to be shared with two devices, controllers, or monitoring points.
- Flexible signal rescaling: Supports voltage-to-current, current-to-current, and resistance-to-current conversion for adapting non-compatible control signals.
- Adjustable field calibration: Multi-turn potentiometers allow fine adjustment of gain, offset, attenuation, and reverse-acting output for precise setup.
- Improves control system compatibility: Helps shrink or expand sensor ranges, increase analog input resolution, and match signal ranges to BAS requirements.
- Reverse signal capability: Can reverse the output signal, making it useful when equipment requires opposite-acting control logic.
- Built-in sensor power: Includes a regulated 23 VDC power output to support compatible sensors in signal conversion applications.
- Panel-ready design: Compact snap-track mounted module with 45° captive screw terminals supports clean installation in control panels and equipment enclosures.

Supported Applications
The ACI Series ARM2 is an Analog Current/Voltage Rescaling Signal Splitter designed to accept a single analog voltage or current signal and split it into two DC non-isolated current sourcing outputs. The device functions as a primary signal splitter where the two outputs are always scaled identically and track each other. Documented applications include:
- Signal loop monitoring
- Resistance to current conversion
- Voltage to current conversion
- Current to current conversion
- Shrinking or expanding sensor ranges
- Increasing analog input resolution
- Reversing a signal
- Adapting non-compatible signals
The unit accepts resistance inputs via voltage divider applications and features top-adjust trimmer potentiometers for fine adjustments to output ranges.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The Series ARM2 operates within an ambient temperature range of 35 to 120°F (1.7 to 48.9°C) with a storage temperature capability from -20 to 150°F (-28.9 to 65.5°C). It is rated for humidity levels between 10 and 95% non-condensing.
Input signal ranges are defined as:
- Voltage: 0-35 VDC @ 1,000,000Ω
- Current: 0 to 44 mA @ 250Ω
- Resistance: 0 to 500,000Ω
The device provides a signal output accuracy of less than or equal to 1% of output span over the full temperature range when using 1:1 input to output; otherwise, accuracy is calibration dependent. The maximum supply current draw is 100 mA.
Power and Output Specifications
The unit requires a power supply of 22.8 to 30 VDC or 21.6 to 26.4 VAC. It includes a regulated power output of 23 VDC nominal @ 24 VAC Power Supply, with a maximum current capacity of 30 mA for powering sensors.
Output signal capabilities include:
- Signal Gain: 1 to 20 times (nominal) depending on input value
- Attenuation: 0 to 100%
- Offset: 0.25 to 20 VDC
- Inversion: 20 to 0 mA (nominal)
- Load Impedance: 750Ω @ 20 mA
Configuration Options
The Series ARM2 is configured with a Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) snap track housing that meets UL94 V-0 flammability rating. Electrical connections are made via 45° captive screw terminal blocks, supporting wire sizes from 12 AWG (3.31 mm²) to 22 AWG (0.33 mm²). The recommended torque for the terminal block is a minimum of 0.5 Nm and a maximum of 0.6 Nm.
Field calibration is supported via multi-turn potentiometers, with factory calibration available upon request as a special order option. The series supports several accessory configurations:
- DIN Rail Adapter Kit: Model A/DRC 3.88 X 2.18 (Item # 142623)
- Transient Voltage Suppressor: Bi-directional, 56VAC/DC, 1500W (Model A/DO008, Item # 142583)
- Metal Enclosure: 20 Gauge Metal Enclosure designed to hold interfaces products (Model ENC1, Item # 102472)
Product dimensions for the board only are 3.69" (W) x 2.17" (H). With the snap track included, overall dimensions are 3.88" (W) x 2.18" (H) with a depth of 0.70".
Key Product Differences
The standard model is designated as ARM2 (Item # 102029). A special calibration ordering option, C/ARM2 (Item # 137062), allows for specific input and output configurations. The device does not isolate the input signals from the output signals; users requiring isolation must utilize separate Analog Isolation Modules such as AIM1 or AIM2.
When powered with 24 VDC, it is recommended to use an isolated UL-listed class 2 transformer. If power is shared with devices containing coils (relays, solenoids), each coil requires a Transient Voltage Suppressor (ACI Part: 142583) or diode placed across the coil.
The Series ARM2 carries RoHS2 and WEEE approvals and is covered by ACI's Two (2) Year Limited Warranty.
