The Omega DFG35 Advanced Digital Force Gauge is designed for tension and compression force testing applications. As an essential component of a force testing system, the series supports configurations that typically include a test stand, grips, and data collection software.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The DFG35 series covers measurement ranges from 0.12 to 500 lbf (0.5 to 2500 N). Accuracy is specified as 0.3% of full scale ± 1 digit, with a sample rate of 2000 Hz. The device features a backlit graphic LCD that displays large characters and provides access to configurable parameters via an on-screen menu.

Performance specifications include the following:

• Safe Overload: 150% of full scale (display shows "OVER" at 110% and above).
• Battery Life: Up to 7 hours continuous use with backlight on or 24 hours with backlight off.
• Full Scale Deflection: All models are 0.25 mm (0.01") except DFG35-0.12, which is 0.13 mm (0.05").

The gauge includes a multi-step low battery indicator and shuts off automatically when power is too low.

Configuration Options

The series offers configurable settings including digital filters, USB output parameters, automatic shutoff, default settings restoration, key tones, audio alarms, and calibration. Units feature setpoint indicators for pass-fail testing and a USB data output connection for external collection.

Weight varies by capacity: models up to 100 lb weigh 0.33 kg (0.7 lb), while the 200 and 500 lb models weigh 0.41 kg (0.9 lb).

AC adapter plug configurations are selectable via model suffixes:

• -E: European style plug.
• -U: UK style plug.
• No suffix: US style plug (standard).
