Supported Applications

The Model DL-8T Temperature Logger monitors and records temperature in eight different locations. It has a built-in sensor for local temperature monitoring and accepts seven external thermocouples in types J, K, T, S, or E, so a single self-powered, pocket-sized unit can cover a spread of measurement points. Part of the Series DL family of battery-powered loggers, it can work as a stand-alone unit or perform remote monitoring across a wide range of environmental and industrial applications.

The DL-8T provides eight channels — one for the internal thermistor and seven for external thermocouple inputs — and offers 12-bit resolution for finer measurements.

• Clock accuracy: ±8 seconds per day plus one sampling interval.
• Sampling rates: selectable from 0.04 seconds to once every 8 hours, using continuous (first-in, first-out) or stop-when-full (fill-then-stop) methods.

Memory holds 1,048,000 readings. The logger operates at 32 to 122°F (0 to 50°C), with an ambient operating range of -50 to 160°F (-45 to 70°C), 0 to 95% RH, non-condensing. Power is supplied by a built-in 3.6V lithium battery, connection is via a removable screw terminal, and the plastic-housed unit weighs 5 oz (110 g). It is CE marked.

Configuration Options

The DL-8T is a single configuration within the Series DL family, so its capability set is fixed: eight channels total, one internal thermistor plus seven external thermocouple inputs accepting types J, K, T, S, or E, and 12-bit resolution. There are no sub-variants that change channel count or sensor type; the flexibility comes from which thermocouple types and channels the user enables for a given application.
