Supported Applications
The Omega HH378 Series is a four-channel handheld data logger thermometer designed for temperature measurement using Type J, K, E, and T thermocouples. The instrument features isolated input protection and includes Windows software for data processing via USB interface.

Operating Conditions & Performance
The HH378 Series operates within an ambient temperature range of -10 to 50°C (14 to 122°F) and a humidity range of 10 to 90% RH (no condensing). Storage conditions are specified as -40 to 60°C (-40 to 140°F) with 10 to 75% RH. Accuracy is defined as ±(0.1% of reading + 0.7°C) or ±(0.1% of reading + 1.4°F). For measurements below -100°C (-148°F), accuracy shifts to ±(0.4% of reading + 0.7°C) or ±(0.4% of reading + 1.4°F).
- Resolution: 0.1°C/°F for readings <1000, and 1°C/°F for readings ≥1000
- Sample rate: 1 time per second
- Battery lifetime: Approximately 30 hours (alkaline battery)
Configuration Options
The series supports four thermocouple types with the following measurement ranges:
- Type K: -200 to 1372°C (-328 to 2501°F)
- Type J: -150 to 1000°C (-238 to 1832°F)
- Type E: -150 to 750°C (-238 to 1382°F)
- Type T: -180 to 400°C (-292 to 752°F)
Power is supplied by a 9V battery (included) or an optional AC/DC adapter providing 9 Vdc (8-10 Vdc maximum). The unit features a USB interface for data transfer and includes Windows software. Standard accessories include four free 1 m Type K insulated beaded wire thermocouples with subminiature connectors, a hard carrying case, operator's manual, NIST certificate, and USB cable.

The HH378 model is the primary configuration in this series. Optional accessories include Model No. HH300-ADAPTER (Power adapter 115 Vac) and Model No. HH300A-CABLE-USB (Spare USB interface cable). It works but need instructions, battery life
This thermometer works good as far as recording the data and transferring them to the graphs. However, installation instructions in the manual are not very helpful. I have to download the driver for the USB from the manufacturer website. It also drained the battery very quickly in less than 24 hours, which is not good for long process.

Bad and good
We bought two of this items before. The first one was perfect, but the second one had some issue. Saved data in the machine had glitchier every a couple of hours which caused some trouble when we transferred data later. Even so, the item is really convenient. If this one can be bundled with DC power supply (or at least has a link related), it will much easier. We bought another two recently, hope these two do not have issue.

My HH378 4 channel logger is not connecting to my new computer, I am using the USB 120 connector that came with device. Can you suggest anything that could fix this?
The Software for the HH378 is suitable up to Windows operating system 7 so if your using OS10 you will need to uninstall and reload in back compatibility mode.

I have an older HH378 S/N 141009283, the REC display on the LCD screen does not display. Is it still recording data?
Thank you for your inquiry. Any time REC is pressed on the unit, the REC symbol will display on the screen. If it's not showing the unit maybe not be recording. Please call 1-888-826-6342, ask for Temperature Engineering for support.
