Supported Applications
The Omega DP119 series is an economical, miniature panel thermometer designed for temperature monitoring in industrial process control environments. As a 3½ digit meter with a large LED display and standard linearized analog output, it serves as a direct-reading indicator for thermocouple (Types J, K, T, E) or RTD (100Ω Pt) inputs.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The DP119 operates within an ambient temperature range of 0 to 60°C (32 to 140°F). Measurement ranges vary by input type and resolution, spanning from -210 to 760°C (-346 to 1400°F) for Type J thermocouples up to -157 to 1999°F for Type K. The series features a response time of 1 second.
Accuracy specifications are defined by the sensor type and resolution setting:
- Thermocouple (1° models): ±1.5°C (±2.7°F) + 1 count
- Thermocouple (0.1° models): ±1°C (±1.8°F) + 1 count
- RTD (1° models): ±0.3°C (±0.5°F) + 0.2% rdg
- RTD (0.1° models): ±0.1°C (±0.2°F) + 0.2% rdg, with a maximum error of ±1.5°C (±2.7°F)
Voltage and Power Requirements
The standard power supply is 115 Vac, ±15%, 50/60Hz. Optional configurations support:
- 9 to 32 Vdc (non-isolated)
- 24 Vac, 50-60 Hz
- 100 Vac, 50-60 Hz
- 230 Vac, 49-63 Hz
Note: For ungrounded thermocouples used with the 9 to 32 Vdc power option (suffix -9/26), use is recommended to avoid ground loops.
Configuration Options
The DP119 series offers configurable options for display color, input type, resolution, and power supply. The meter features a safety-rated, removable screw-clamp cable connector.- Housing Dimensions: 48 H x 96 W x 120 mm D (1.89 x 3.78 x 4.72")
- Weight: 225 g (8 oz)
- Display Options: Red LED is standard; Green LED display available with suffix "-GR".
- Analog Output: Non-isolated linearized output. Signal levels are 1mV per degree for 1° resolution units and 10 mV per degree for 0.1° resolution units.
- Certifications: RoHS 2 Compliant
Input Types and Resolution Codes
The series supports the following input configurations, where model numbers follow the pattern DP119-:- Type J (Iron-Constantan)
- Type K (CHROMEGA®-ALOMEGA®)
- Type T (Copper-Constantan)
- Type E (CHROMEGA®-Constantan)
- RTD 100Ω Pt
Resolution options include 1.0°F, 0.1°F, 1.0°C, and 0.1°C.
Key Product Differences
The DP119 series distinguishes models by input sensor type (Thermocouple vs. RTD), temperature unit (°C or °F), and resolution precision (1 degree vs. 0.1 degree). The manual notes that the input type and resolution cannot be changed on any J, K, T, or E unit after manufacture.Power variations are indicated by suffixes in the model number:
- -230: 230 Vac power
- -9/26: 9 to 32 Vdc non-isolated power
- No suffix (standard): 115 Vac, ±15%, 50/60Hz
The series includes a display hold capability and is supplied with an operator's manual. A 5-year warranty applies to the DP119 Series.
