The Omega DP116 series comprises compact temperature panel meters designed for process measurement and control applications. These devices feature a large 3-½ digit display with full-size LEDs, providing clear visibility of temperature readings in industrial environments.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The DP116 operates within an ambient temperature range of 0 to 60°C (32 to 140°F). The series supports Thermocouple inputs (Types J, K, T, E) and RTD inputs. Measurement ranges vary by input type and resolution; for example, Type J thermocouples cover -346 to +1400°F or -210 to +760°C depending on the model configuration.

• Type J: Ranges include -346 to +1400°F (1.0°F resolution) and -199.9 to +199.9°F (0.1°F resolution).
• Type K: Ranges include -157 to +1999°F (1.0°F resolution) and -199.9 to +199.9°F (0.1°F resolution).
• Type T: Ranges include -157 to +752°F (1.0°F resolution) and -199.9 to +199.9°F (0.1°F resolution).
• Type E: Ranges include -157 to +1832°F (1.0°F resolution) and -199.9 to +199.9°F (0.1°F resolution).
• RTD: Ranges include -328 to 1562°F (1.0°F resolution), -200 to 850°C (1.0°C resolution), and narrower ranges with 0.1° resolution.

Accuracy specifications depend on the selected model suffix:

• Fahrenheit models ending in 'F1' or Celsius models ending in 'C1': ±2.7°F (±1.5°C) + 1 count maximum error for thermocouples; specific RTD accuracy is listed as ±0.3°C (±0.5°F) + 0.2% rdg.
• Fahrenheit models ending in 'F2' or Celsius models ending in 'C2': ±1.8°F (±1.0°C) + 1 count maximum error for thermocouples; specific RTD accuracy is listed as ±0.1°C (±0.2°F) + 0.2% rdg.

The response time is documented as 1 s. The device includes a linearized analog output available in two configurations: 10 mV/° or 1 mV/°. Input type and resolution are fixed per model and cannot be changed by the user after manufacturing.

Configuration Options

The DP116 series is configurable across several dimensions to meet specific installation requirements:

• Housing & Mounting: Standard 3/64 DIN size with a ¼ DIN panel adaptor included. The unit features safety-rated, removable screw-clamp cable connectors.
• Display Options: Available with standard or Green LED display (suffix '-GR').
• Power Supply: Standard power is 115 Vac ±15%, 50/60 Hz. Optional configurations include 230 Vac, 100 Vac, 24 Vac, and non-isolated 9-26 Vdc @ 110mA max (requires ungrounded thermocouples to avoid ground loops).
• Resolution: Models are available with either 1.0° or 0.1° resolution for both Fahrenheit and Celsius scales.

Accessories include splashproof lens/screw clamp options (SPC18, SPC364) rated NEMA 4 (IP65), and a panel punch tool (DPP-2).

Key Product Differences

The series distinguishes models by input sensor type, temperature scale, resolution, power supply, and display color. The model number guide follows the format DP116-<Input Type><Resolution Code>-<Option Suffix>. For instance, 'DP116-JF1' denotes a Type J thermocouple input with Fahrenheit scale at 1.0°F resolution.

• Thermocouple models (J, K, T, E) are designated by the letter following DP116- and precede the temperature unit code ('C' or 'F').
• RTD models use the prefix 'M' followed by the resolution and scale codes.
• The second digit of the suffix indicates resolution: '1' for 1.0° steps, '2' for 0.1° steps.
• Suffixes '-GR', '-9/26', or '-230' indicate Green LED display, DC power option, and AC voltage variant respectively.
