Supported Applications

The Omega DP63100 is a universal input panel meter designed for industrial process monitoring and control. It accepts DC Voltage/Current, Process signals, Resistance, Temperature (Thermocouple and RTD), and Strain Gage inputs. The instrument features a dual-line tri-color display with programmable MAX/MIN reading memory and a signal totalizer (integrator). Configuration is performed via the built-in USB programming port using DP6-SOFT software.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The meter operates within an ambient temperature range of 0 to 50 °C with storage capability from -40 to 60 °C. It is rated for humidity up to 85% max. RH non-condensing and features a NEMA 4X/IP65 sealed front bezel suitable for harsh environments. The unit withstands operational shock of 25 g (10 g relay) at 11 msec in three directions and vibration from 5 to 150 Hz.

Accuracy specifications vary by input type, including values such as 0.03% of rdg + 30μV for specific voltage ranges and temperature accuracies ranging from 0.2°C to 6.1°C depending on the sensor family and range selected. Response times are configurable with options listed at 400 msec, 200 msec, 100 msec, 600 msec, 250 msec, 1000 msec, or 500 msec.

Measurement Ranges

  • Digital Count: -199,999 to 999,999 or -199,999,999 to 999,999,999 depending on configuration.

Configuration Options

The DP63100 series supports a wide envelope of configurable options via plug-in cards. The base unit includes high compression cage-clamp terminal blocks for electrical connections and accepts power from 50 to 250 VAC (50/60 Hz, 14 VA) or 21.6 to 250 VDC (8 W). Excitation voltage is provided at +18 VDC ±5% @ 50 mA max.

Communication Options

Serial communication cards enable connectivity via RS232 or RS485 protocols, supporting RLC Protocol (ASCII), Modbus RTU, and Modbus ASCII. Available configurations include:

Setpoint and Output Cards

The series offers up to four setpoint outputs through various relay and transistor cards:

  • Dual Relay Card (LDP6-CDS10): Two FORM-C relays, Normally open & closed.
  • Quad Relay Card (LDP6-CDS20): Four FORM-A relays, Normally open only.
  • Sinking Open Collector (LDP6-CDS30): Isolated quad sinking NPN transistors.
  • Sourcing Open Collector (LDP6-CDS40): Isolated quad sourcing PNP transistors.
  • Analog Output Card (LDP6-CDL10): Retransmitted linear DC output of 0 to 20 mA, 4 to 20 mA, or 0 to 10 VDC with programmable scaling and reverse slope capability.

Mechanical Specifications

The meter measures 3.80 in (96.52 mm) wide by 1.95 in (49.53 mm) high, requiring a panel cut-out of 3.60 in (91.44 mm) width and 1.75 in (44.45 mm) height. The depth is 0.10 in (2.54 mm), with a recommended minimum clearance behind the panel of 2.1" (53.4) H x 5.5" (140) W.
