The Dwyer Series 32A is a compact, microprocessor-based temperature and process controller designed for panel mounting in industrial automation environments. As the world's first dual display 1/32 DIN temperature/process controller, it supports universal input selection including thermocouple, RTD, DC voltage, or DC current signals.

Configuration Options
The Series 32A is available in multiple configurations defined by alarm programming and output combinations. The model number structure follows the format: `32A<MODEL>` (e.g., 32A020, 32A123, 32A153). Available variants include:
- No Alarm / Single Output: Models such as 32A020 (5 VDC), 32A050 (Current), and 32A030 (Relay).
- Alarm / Dual Output: Models such as 32A123 (5 VDC + Relay) and 32A133 (Dual Relay).
- Alarm / Current & Relay: Model 32A153.
The series supports optional RS-485 serial communication (-992) for remote reading and writing of control parameters. Accessories include the MN-1 Mini-Node™ USB/RS-485 converter, LoveLinks III configuration software, and A-600 R/C snubber.
Snubber Protection (Relay Outputs)
To protect relay output devices from electrical noise generated by contactors or solenoids, the series documentation recommends using a snubber. The general purpose snubber part number is 541-0014. Alternatively, a custom assembly may be constructed using a 0.5 µF capacitor (600V) in series with a 100 Ω resistor (1/4 W), connected as close to the coil terminals as possible.
Key Product Differences
Variants within the Series 32A differ primarily by their alarm capability and output signal configuration. The standard model selection table defines six distinct configurations:
- Model 32A020: No Alarm, Output A = 5 VDC, Output B = None.
- Model 32A123: Yes (Alarm), Output A = 5 VDC, Output B = Relay.
- Model 32A133: Yes (Alarm), Output A = Relay, Output B = Relay.
- Model 32A153: Yes (Alarm), Output A = Current, Output B = Relay.
- Model 32A050: No Alarm, Output A = Current, Output B = None.
- Model 32A030: No Alarm, Output A = Relay, Output B = None.
The series also offers an optional low-voltage power supply (-9502) and RS-485 communication (-992). Note that only Option 9502 may be combined with another option; no other options are combinable.
