Supported Applications

The Omega TSW-TD series comprises snap-action temperature switches designed for pipe tap installations. These devices provide fixed-temperature switching functionality within process control systems.

Operating Conditions & Performance

This product line is characterized by a 1/2 in NPT connection and a snap-action mechanism. Specific performance parameters, including setpoint ranges, accuracy classes, ambient temperature limits, response times, and electrical ratings are not provided in the current documentation bundle.

Documented Configuration

  • Connection: 1/2 in NPT pipe tap
  • Action Type: Snap-action
  • Setpoint Style: Fixed temperature (as indicated by variant part numbers)

Available Variants

The series includes the following enabled variants, each representing a specific fixed setpoint configuration:

  • TSW-TD-1C-180R/WL
  • TSW-TD-1C-200R/WL
  • TSW-TD-1C-220R/WL
  • TSW-TD-1C-240R/WL
  • TSW-TD-1C-250R/WL

Configuration Options

The TSW-TD series is offered with a 1/2 in NPT process connection suitable for pipe tap mounting. The available variants indicate fixed setpoint options, though the specific temperature values corresponding to these part numbers are not detailed in the provided source data.

Selection Parameters

  • Housing/Mounting: 1/2 in NPT pipe tap configuration
  • Sensor Element: Not specified in current documentation
  • Output Signal: Snap-action switching (specific electrical ratings not provided)
  • Approvals/Certifications: Not listed in the bundle

Key Product Differences

The primary distinction among TSW-TD variants is the fixed setpoint configuration, as reflected in their unique part numbers. All enabled models share the same 1/2 in NPT connection and snap-action design architecture.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good choice Well constructed and seems to be a solid probe. Time somentime to get it delivered as the company doesn’t keep inventory.

Hi, Do your TSW-TD sensors come with the mounting nut? Thanks

Asked by: Spike2919
The TSW-TD series does not include the mounting nut as they are typically screwed into the 1/2 Female NPT on the process equipment.

I bought one (TSW-TD-1c-250R/WL) for the purpose of regulating temperature in a heated stainless cabinet. I installed it and the temperature went high to 170 degrees C; it did not shut off. Is this intended for installing in a liquid piping?

Asked by: Martin A
Hi Martin This switch will activate on rising temperature at 250 F. It both NO and NC contacts. NO, black to red, will read closed when above the set point. The NC, black to blue, will read open above the set point. This is designed for liquid applications. Perhaps the unit is mounted where and air-pocket forms in the pipe. Best regards OMEGA
