Supported Applications

The Omega GT-Ver-Therm series comprises verification liquid-in-glass thermometers designed to verify sample temperatures in freezers, refrigerators, incubators, and ovens. These instruments are utilized across chemical, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, medical, cosmetic, dairy, brewery, distillery, blood bank, scientific institute, hot house, and laboratory equipment production environments.

Each model features an individual serial number and a Statement of Accuracy traceable to NIST and DAkkS. The series is tested and calibrated in an ISO/IEC 17025:2005, A2LA accredited laboratory. Statements of accuracy are provided in English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The series covers measurement ranges from -90/25°C to 50/200°C for metric models and -130/80°F to 60/120°F for imperial models. Accuracy specifications vary by model type, with values including 0.2°C, 0.4°C, 0.5°C, 0.75°C, 1°C, 1.5°C (with conditional accuracy of 2°C above 105°C), and up to 2.5°C or 5°C for specific high-temperature ranges.

Specific models offer multi-part accuracy ratings; for example, the Ultra Low Freezer model GT-20630 lists an accuracy of "1°C; 2°C from -1/-40°C; 2.5°C below -40°C," while Oven model GT-20735 specifies "2°C; 4°C above 130°C." Imperial models provide accuracies such as 1°F and 2°F.

Physical dimensions vary by application, with lengths ranging from 98 mm (3.9") to 210 mm (8.3"). Bottle sizes are available in 30 ml or 60 ml configurations depending on the model type.

Configuration Options

The GT-Ver-Therm series is configured for specific temperature zones and verification requirements:

• Sensor Types & Ranges: Models are designated as Freezer, Ultra Low Freezer, Refrigerator, Blood Bank, Incubator, or Oven types with corresponding ranges such as -25/5°C (Freezer), 15/30°C (Incubator), and 95/115°C (Oven).
• Accuracy Classes: High Precision Verification Thermometers offer accuracies of 0.2°C, while other models provide 0.4°C to 2°F depending on the range.
• Safety Coating: Select models feature a PFA fluoropolymer safety coating for enhanced durability and protection.
• Traceability Options: Models are available with traceability to DAkkS in addition to NIST, indicated by specific model series designations.

Key Product Differences

The series distinguishes between models based on PFA safety coating and DAkkS traceability. The GT-20xxxT and GT-307xx families generally include the "PFA Safety Coated" feature and are marked as "Traceable to DAkkS." In contrast, the GT-40xxx family (e.g., GT-40005, GT-41045) is listed without PFA safety coating or DAkkS traceability.

Model numbering reflects specific applications: GT-204xx models serve Freezer, Refrigerator, Incubator, and Oven ranges with 60 ml bottle sizes; GT-207xxT and GT-30xxx models typically utilize 30 ml bottles. Division scales vary from 0.1 to 2 units depending on the range span.
