Supported Applications
The Dwyer Series DPMX Extra Large LED Digital Panel Meter is designed for easy visibility across a room or in dark areas. It features a protective metal casing and an adjustable mounting bracket, intended to display process values from various transmitters. The meter supports bezel or gimbal mounting configurations.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The Series DPMX operates within an ambient temperature range of 14 to 122°F (-10 to 50°C) and a storage range of -40 to 75°C. The display provides a resolution of 3-1/2 digits with 2.3" height, 7 segment LED segments available in red, green, or blue. Accuracy is specified as ±(1% FS + 1 count). The sampling rate is 3 readings per second, and the unit requires a warm-up time of 10 minutes.
CAUTION: Do not mount the panel meter outdoors or in damp environments, or other extreme environments. It is not a sealed unit.
Configuration Options
The series supports user-selectable process inputs configured via function switches and jumpers. Available input ranges include:
- Set Voltage Inputs: ±200 mVDC, ±2 VDC, ±20 VDC.
- Adjustable Voltage Inputs (VPI): 200 mVDC, 5 VDC, 10 VDC.
- Adjustable Current Inputs (LPI): 0(4) to 20 mA DC.
Input impedance varies by range: >1 MΩ (>10 MΩ on the 200 mV range) for set voltage, 392 kΩ for adjustable voltage, and 300 Ω nominal for adjustable current. Zero suppression is available via an LPI offset jumper (+ for 4 to 20 mA, - for 0 to 20 mA). Decimal point positions are selectable at DP1, DP2, DP3, or OFF.
Power supply options depend on the model:
- Standard Voltage Models (DPMX-1, DPMX-2, DPMX-3): 90 to 250 VAC @ 12 VA.
- Low Voltage Models (DPMX-1-LV, DPMX-2-LV, DPMX-3-LV): 10.5 to 30 VAC/DC @ 6VA.
The meter includes a protective metal casing with an adjustable mounting bracket offering 180° gimbal mounting with 30° stops or bezel mount options. Electrical connections are made via screw terminals located on the back of the adder board beneath the cover; cable clamps must be unfastened to access these terminals.
Key Product Differences
The Series DPMX is offered in six distinct models differentiated by LED segment color and power supply voltage:
- DPMX-1, DPMX-2, DPMX-3: Feature Blue, Green, or Red segments respectively with a 90 to 250 VAC power supply.
- DPMX-1-LV, DPMX-2-LV, DPMX-3-LV: Feature Blue, Green, or Red segments respectively with a 10.5 to 30 VAC/DC low-voltage power supply.
The Series DPMX is not field serviceable and should be returned if repair is needed; field repair may void the warranty. A return goods authorization number must be obtained from customer service before shipping.
