Supported Applications

The Dwyer Carrying Case series provides protective housings for various industrial process instrumentation. Documented applications include gas pressure kits, smoke gages, manometers (including roll-up and slack tube types), inclined gages, draft gages, combustion test kits, air velocity meters, and Magnahelic® Gages.

Operating Conditions & Performance

Cases are constructed from two primary material families: steel cases feature a gray hammerloid finish, while molded plastic cases utilize gray high-density polyethylene. Specific dimensions vary by model to accommodate the intended instrument and accessories:

• A-401: 7-9/16" x 5-7/8" x 2-13/16"
• A-402A: 7-1/2" x 3" x 2-1/4"
• A-404: 12-1/4" x 6-1/4" x 1-3/4"
• A-405: 13-1/2" x 10" x 2-3/8"
• A-413: 18-1/2" x 4-3/8" x 2-1/4"
• A-430-1: 13-1/2" x 10" x 2-3/8" (dimensions shown in image)
• A-463: 13-1/2" x 10" x 2-3/8"

Configuration Options

The series supports a range of configurations tailored to specific Dwyer instruments, including plastic carrying cases, steel carrying cases, nylon pouches, and envelopes. Some models include specialized internal features or accessory storage.

• A-401: Plastic Carrying Case for 1212 Gas Pressure Kit, 910 Smoke Gage, and up to 36" Roll-up Manometers.
• A-402A: Nylon Carrying Pouch for Series 475, 477, 490 Digital Manometers.
• A-404: Plastic Carrying Case for Portable Inclined Gages 100, 101, 108, 115.
• A-405: Plastic Carrying Case for Portable Inclined Gages 109, 100.5, 104-6, 102, 102.5.
• A-413: Steel Carrying Case for Portable Draft Gages 104-8, 104-10 and 48" and larger Slack Tube Manometers.
• A-430-1: Plastic Carrying Case for 1200 series Combustion Test Kit (includes molded foam inserts).
• A-431: Steel Carrying Case for Air Velocity Meter, 400-5.

Key Product Differences

Variants differ primarily by material construction (steel versus molded plastic/nylon) and internal configuration. The A-430-1 and A-463 models feature foam liners or inserts, while the A-432 case is designed to hold additional accessories such as a mounting stand and rubber tube. Dimensions are specific to each model number; for example, the steel A-413 measures 18-1/2" in length to accommodate larger slack tube manometers, whereas the nylon A-402A pouch is compact at 7-1/2" x 3" x 2-1/4".
