These spring loaded probes are available in a range of protection head styles to meet environmental and size requirements. The spring terminal block assemblies allow for up to ½” of probe movement along the head’s axis. They are available in J, K, T, N, or E calibration and in 304 or 316 SS, Inconel 600, or OMEGACLADXL sheaths.
The probe length (in its relaxed state) should equal the stem (element) length of the desired thermowell. For example, a 12 inch probe will measure 12 inches from the end of the ½” hex fitting to the tip and will fit properly into a thermowell with a 12 inch stem length. There will be approximately ½ inch of compression as the probe assembly is screwed into the thermowell.
The moving internal terminal block with attached probe is standard on all models. Consult the Custom Engineering Dept. for price and delivery on a wide variety of non-metallic and other specialized heads.
