Supported Applications
The Omega FCDH Series consists of full-coverage insulated drum heaters designed for indoor use to provide temperature and viscosity control. These units are engineered specifically for heating the contents of 55-gallon drums, with configurations available for both metal and poly (plastic) containers.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The series operates within specific temperature envelopes depending on drum material: Metal Drums support a range of 10 to 232°C (50 to 450°F), while Poly Drums are rated for 10 to 71°C (50 to 160°F). The maximum exposure temperature on the heating surface is documented as 260°C (500°F) in series specifications. Each unit includes a digital temperature controller with audible and visual alarms designed to prevent temperature runaway.
Electrical Specifications
- Voltage: Available in 120 Vac or 240 Vac models.
- Cord Configuration: 1.8 m (6') power cord with a standard 3-prong plug on 120VAC models; stripped lead ends provided for field termination on 240Vac models.
