The Omega SA1-RTD Series is a high-performance RTD surface sensor designed for precision temperature monitoring on flat or curved surfaces. These self-adhesive, fast-response sensors deliver Class A accuracy, making them ideal for critical applications in electronics, HVAC, industrial process control, and laboratory testing.
Constructed with a 2x2x0.8mm thin-film platinum RTD element and supplied with PFA-insulated 3- or 4-wire configurations, each RTD surface sensor in the SA1-RTD lineup operates continuously from -73 °C to 260 °C, with short-term capability up to 290 °C when cemented in place. With response times under 1 second in water immersion and under 2 seconds on hot plates, these units capture temperature changes rapidly and accurately.
Among the standout features of this RTD surface sensor are its excellent long-term stability (drift less than 0.2 °C/year), and Class A accuracy at ±0.06Ω at 0°C. The self-adhesive backing allows for easy installation, while optional thermal epoxies such as OMEGABOND improve adhesion and thermal contact when permanent mounting is required.
