Supported Applications
The Omega DPG409S Series is a Sanitary, High Accuracy Digital Pressure Gauge designed for wash-down and marine applications. The series incorporates integral sanitary pressure sensors with highly stable silicon wafer technology micro-machined to precision tolerances. Models are available in Gage, Absolute, Compound Gage, Vacuum (Negative Gage), and Barometric configurations.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The DPG409S series features a rugged 316 Stainless Steel enclosure with an ABS center gasket, rated Weatherproof NEMA 4X (IP65). The device operates within an ambient temperature range of -18 to 66°C (0 to 150°F) and supports storage temperatures from -40 to 82°C (-40 to 180°F).
Performance specifications include a typical accuracy of ±0.08% Best Straight Line Typ., combining linearity, hysteresis, and repeatability. For ranges ≤2.5 psi, the specification is ±0.5% FS typical with a maximum of ±1%. The display features 4-digit resolution (9999 count) with 25 mm (1") character height on a backlit LCD.
Pressure measurement capabilities span from low differential ranges up to high-pressure limits:
- Gage Pressure: Ranges include 0 to 10 inH2O, 0 to 1 psi, and extend up to 0 to 600 psi (using suitable clamp for 1½" Tri-Clamp®).
- Absolute Pressure: Available from 0 to 5 psi up to 0 to 600 psi.
- Vacuum/Negative Gage: Ranges include 0 to -10 inH2O and 0 to -15 psi.
- Compound Gage: Available from ±10 inH2O up to ±15 psi.
- Barometric Pressure: Models cover 0 to 32.00 inHg, 16 to 32 inHg, and metric ranges such as 0 to 1100 hPa.
The burst pressure rating is specified as 4 x rated pressure up to the maximum rated flange pressure. The response time is user-selectable from 0.25 to 10 sec (preset to 1/sec).
Configuration Options
The series offers extensive configuration options for process connections, outputs, and power:
- Process Connections: Sanitary models feature 1½ inch or 2.0 inch Tri-Grip™ fittings (compatible with Tri-Clamp®). The fitting size is indicated in the model number: "15" for 1.5 inch and "20" for 2.0 inch.
- Wetted Materials: Constructed with 316L SS wetted parts and filled with NEOBEE M5 Food Grade Fill Fluid.
- Analog Output Signals: User-selectable outputs include 0 to 5 Vdc, 0 to 10 Vdc, or 4 to 20 mA. Model suffixes indicate the signal type: "V1" for 0-5 Vdc, "V2" for 0-10 Vdc, and "MA" for 4-20 mA.
- Wireless Option: Appending a "-W" to the model number indicates a wireless version. Wireless models operate on ISM 2.4 GHz with an RF output of 10 dBm (10 mW). Range is up to 120 m (400') outdoors line-of-sight or up to 40 m (130') indoors/urban.
- Power Supply: Internal power uses two included 3.6V lithium C-cell batteries with 8.4 Ah capacity. External DC voltage source operation is also supported.
