Supported Applications

The Omega Plastic Fittings series provides connection solutions for tubing and hose with inside diameters ranging from 1/16 in ID to 1 in ID. These fittings are designed for fluid handling systems requiring plastic wetted materials, specifically Black Nylon, Natural Polypropylene, or Natural Kynar®.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The series supports distinct temperature and pressure envelopes depending on the selected material:

• Kynar: Temperature range of -62 to 108°C (-80 to 226°F) with a maximum pressure rating of 17.9 bar (260 psi).
• Polypropylene: Temperature range of -13 to 66°C (9 to 150°F) with a maximum pressure rating of 10.3 bar (150 psi).
• Nylon: Temperature range of -46 to 135°C (-50 to 275°F) with a maximum pressure rating of 10.3 bar (150 psi).

The series holds RoHS compliance by individual model number.

Configuration Options

This extensive family covers multiple fitting geometries and connection types to accommodate various tubing configurations:

• Fitting Types: Thread-Barb Adaptors, Equal Leg Tees, Reduction Couplers, Equal Leg Couplers, Equal Leg Elbows, Thread-Barb Tees, Thread-Barb Elbows, Equal Leg 'Y', and fully Threaded fittings.
• Tubing Sizes: Available for tube IDs from 1/16" through 1", including intermediate sizes such as 3/32", 5/32", 3/16", 5/16", and others listed in the specification tables.
• Thread Standards: Threaded options include 10-32 UNF, 10-32 TAPER, and NPT sizes ranging from 1/8" to 1" (e.g., 1/8 NPT, 1/4 NPT, up to 1 NPT).
• Complete Kits: The series offers organized kits including Barbed Adaptor Kits, Barbed Elbow/Tee/Y Kits, Threaded Elbow and Tee Kits, and Barbed Reducer and Connector Kits.

Model numbering follows specific patterns such as FTNY-- for Nylon adaptors or FTPP-T- for Polypropylene tees. Storage racks are available to hold up to 4 kits, differentiated by size range (FT-BOX-S for 1/16" to 1/4", FT-BOX-L for 1/4" to 1").

Key Product Differences

Variants are distinguished primarily by material composition and fitting geometry. While the series title indicates a broad range, specific model availability varies by material; some Thread-Barb Tee configurations list '—' for Natural Polypropylene or Natural Kynar in certain sizes where only Black Nylon is offered.

• Material Codes: Model numbers typically end with suffixes indicating the wetted material: BN (Black Nylon), NP (Natural Polypropylene), and NK (Natural Kynar).
• Geometry Distinctions: Reduction couplers are identified by dual tube ID specifications (e.g., 3/8" to 1/4"). Thread-Barb fittings combine a specific thread size with a barb for tubing.
